We are Michele and Andrew, the husband-and-wife team who started our business in 2020 in the midst of lockdown, and we’ve been happily covered in wax ever since.
We're pretty unique! Our beeswax wraps are amongst the only ones in the world to be certified food safe. We've had our beeswax wraps independently tested and certified food safe, so you know that our wax mixture does not come off on your food, and there are no harmful chemicals or other yucky stuff like arsenic, lead or mercury. Many businesses say that their wraps are food safe, but haven't had them tested. Our raw ingredients are all FDA-approved and food safe-approved as well. Our wraps are truly hand-made from start to finish in our little London studio – no cutting presses, commercial wax cookers or waxing conveyer belts for us! Andrew is a whizz with the tape measure, rulers and cutting wheel (it looks like a tiny pizza cutter), and Michele mixes, cooks & hand-paints the wax on to the fabric. Once they’ve been hung up and line-dried, we inspect, fold and label them.
We use 100% green electricity, completely biodegradable/compostable packaging, and UK-based materials wherever we can. We even recycle our olive oil tins into garden pots and use the water we need to melt the wax to feed our plants!
CUSTOM ORDERS FOR WHOLESALE CLIENTS: Did you know that we regularly make custom wrap sets for wholesale clients? We make the set sizes and patterns that the customer wants, with their custom logo on the labels. We can use any of the 100s of patterns that we have access to, or print the customer's custom patterns, with low minimum orders and a big discount off the RRP.
