I absolutely adore these - I love Paris and that's the exact feeling I get when wearing them. Great pairing of retro beads with artisan lampwork.

Simply stunning. One of the most beautiful pairs of earrings I've ever had. It's clear the artist is very devoted to her work - she even includes a note with a description of each component. Such a nice touch!

Every Woman has a Story to Tell

After taking some workshops from internationally known teachers and a small metals class at my local junior college, my own muse started speaking to me and I found a passion for creating my own work. I've been called meticulous (maybe not with that word!) and I'm okay with that. I call it pride or an inability to call something finished unless all aspects of a piece of my jewelry are well made. You'll appreciate the time I've spent so you can wear it today and many tomorrows to come. I have a dream that someone a couple generations away will be honored to inherit a Honey from the Bee piece you wear today.

My brother helped me come up with the name for my business. The first generation of my Scottish family in America had a general store called the Bie Hive. My maiden name is Bie and I've always thought it would be cool to have a business name that reflected my love of family and unique ancestry. After tossing some ideas around with him I settled on Honey from the Bee.

Around the turn of the last century I started out just selling to friends and family and doing art shows where I started building a local clientele. I loved the personal and timely feedback that those venues provided. As several online venues for handmade goods came to be I selected Etsy due to their quick dominance in the space and focus on the individual handmade shops.

I love how jewelry has a special place in a woman's heart. It tells our history and a lot of about who we are today in a very personal way. My jewelry was created from my story, but it's when it finds its new home that it really begins to live.

Frequently asked questions

Gift wrapping and packaging

I present your jewelry purchase in gift worthy packaging with the planet in consideration. In some cases that's a beautiful handmade paper envelope, while others may be a box with ribbon or patterned washi tape. If shipping directly to a gift recipient - please let me know what sentiment or greeting you would like your gift to have.

I recycle shipping envelopes and boxes when I can, but they will always be clean and smoke-free.

Care instructions

Your jewelry's life will benefit by your care. If you would like more information about caring for your jewelry, please go to this link:

Wholesale availability

I am available for wholesale purchases. Due to the nature of my work I believe a boutique or museum type setting is best. Please contact me if interested for your retail shop.

Additional U.S.A. Shipping Information

USPS Priority Mail, UPS and FedEx are also possible with U.S. shipments. If you would like to ship this way - let me know and I'll send you an invoice for any increase in postage costs.

Shipments go out Mon through Fri as soon as payment has cleared. I include insurance for orders within the U.S.

Additional International Shipping Information

I ship First Class Intl (except *Australia.) There is no tracking available, but if you would like tracking I can ship Express Mail International and send you an invoice for the increase in postage costs.

*Australia - postal regulations in Australia require me to ship Priority Mail Insured. This is unfortunately not inexpensive. However, you can make it worth it by ordering a few pieces to spread that cost over the total number of items.

If you would like insurance please let me know. I will find out the cost and get back to you. That shipment will go out First Class Priority if available. If you fall into delivery of "other countries" there may be no insurance option. I will not be responsible for uninsured packages.

Custom and personalized orders

I have done a number of custom orders in the past including for wedding parties, gifts, incorporating personal items, and other specific requests. Time and resource permitting I am happy to work with you on a custom request.

I assume since you've selected me, because you love my work which is an honor. Please keep that in mind when requesting custom work.

I require full payment for custom orders unless total is unknown at time of sale.

I design jewelry for adults and responsible young adults that understand that jewelry is meant to be worn and not ingested. Due to the nature of jewelry, small parts can be a choking hazard. Use common sense when wearing my jewelry and storing it.

Also, any of my jewelry where I use crystals there may be lead, like with Swarovski crystals. WARNING: This product contains lead, a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm. Wash hands after handling.
