I truly believe that real miracles can happen in the simplest moments, at home, with a hook in hand and yarn on the table. This is where my ideas are born, and from here they travel to wonderful makers all around the world.
My name is Ferize Duran. I am a retired teacher living in California with my son and our one very loved cat. Crochet and handmade crafts have been part of my heart for as long as I can remember, and opening HookHugs has been a childhood dream come true.
Every pattern I design carries a little piece of my spirit. I create with warmth, care, and joy, and I hope you can feel that in every stitch as you bring my designs to life. For me, the most important values are simplicity, accessibility, and uniqueness, always made with an open and sincere heart.
I believe handmade creations hold something special. A soft kind of warmth and light from the person who makes them. That is what I hope to share with you through every pattern in my shop.
