5 out of 5 starsMolly is multi-talented (notice the name of her store), smart, funny and has just the right sort of bad attitude. This very well-made piece hit all the right spots for both me and my smarter half, cat lovers both of us..

About HookYarnandSinger
The Basics: Who Am I and What Do You Need to Know?
Welcome to my shop! I’m Molly and my husband and I are full-time professional musicians (The Wallens). I found out pretty early on that I would need something to do in the car during long drives and relearned how to knit a few years ago. However, when we were planning our tour through Australia in 2018, I found out that knitting needles are considered weapons on most flights. Crochet hooks, on the other hand, were not. My mom had taught my sisters and me how to knit when we were younger, but crochet was completely foreign to me. Through a slew of YouTube videos, I learned how to tie a slip knot, make a chain, and begin to make row after row of crochet and double crochet stitches. I made my first blanket during my first cross-country and international tour. It wasn’t perfect, but the rows were relatively straight and by the time we returned home, I had also figured out how to make a nice scalloped border. That blanket is now my go-to comfy thing when I’m curled up on the couch at home.
A year after I first fell in love with crochet, I began selling whatever I was making at our gigs. After much deep thought and some names I couldn’t fathom my grandmother approving of (Traveling Hooker), I came up with the business name: Hook, Yarn, & Singer. Shortly after that, I designed my logo. Music is the reason I picked up a hook to begin with and has been part of my very soul for the entirety of my life.
A full year of selling squishy things made of yarn to people who just happened upon my display on the merch table and other people who ordered custom pieces has led me to finally launch my online presence.
A few things:
1. All of my products will be made to order with very few exceptions
-This is just because I will still need to have on-hand inventory to sell at our shows
-This also means that the products you see in most of my listings are merely examples and will always say "Made to Order" in the title
-The exceptions to this rule will say "Ready to Ship" in the title
2. Made to order means I am literally making it just for you
-You get to choose the yarn/color
-You get to choose the size
-You will receive a one-of-a-kind piece
-You will also have to wait at least a few weeks for it to arrive, please be patient
3. I am open to taking on new projects!
-See something in a movie that looks comfy and you wish you could buy it? Maybe there's something you pinned on Pinterest forever ago that you can't quite figure out. Email me and let’s talk! I love new challenges and like designing things.
-Designing takes some trial and error, so it may take extra time and/or money for completion. It’s a brand new item. I can give you a price on what I think it will end up costing, but I cannot know for sure until it’s done.

I'm a full-time musician in a band with my husband (The Wallens) and I crochet as we drive all over the country. Our adopted dog, Charlie, is constantly mad at me for crocheting instead of letting him be a lap dog.
