My husband loves his slippers, especially the comfy padded soles. Thanks!
I discovered that one could crochet more than just afghans.
Crochet was something that has appealed to me for a long time. I first learned it when I was young - maybe nine or ten years old. I learned the basics but didn't have the patience to actually take on a project, so I didn't crochet anything for a long time. When I was 18 I lived on my own for a couple of years with plenty of free time on winter evenings, so I began crocheting afghans. These took quite a bit of time to complete, and how many afghans does a person need? I made one for myself and one for my parents, and after that I ceased to crochet for quite a while, since the thought never occurred to me to look for patterns for anything else.
A couple of years ago, a friend of mine took up crocheting after seeing cute children's hat patterns here on Etsy. She purchased a few patterns and posted pictures of the results on her blog. I had children already and the thought of crocheting items for them appealed to me, so I purchased a few patterns and started making hats. I made hats for my kids, my niece and nephews, and the kids I care for in my daycare. My husband laughed and me and said "What are you going to do when you run out of heads?" When I had made hats for all the kids I knew, I started making headwraps for several of my friends. They love them, so I thought I'd try selling some of my own designs here on Etsy.
I have since branched out into other things, but I try to keep my projects small. With three kids and a home daycare, I don't have a whole lot of time for big projects!

Additional policies and FAQs
All products are made in my home - a smoke-free, pet-friendly environment. The dog doesn't actually come into the house, but his hair sometimes comes in on our shoes, clothing, or stuck to any sticky spots on my children.
At this time, the items you see in the photos are the items you are purchasing.
Recommended care of your crocheted item is to hand wash, especially if the items has beads or crocheted flowers attached, or machine wash on gentle cycle. Most items without beads or attached flowers can safely be dried in the dryer, although best practice is to lay flat to dry.
