The Travel Fund: A History

Hello! Welcome to The Travel Fund, where you can buy art journals and photography prints to support my addiction! And, in the process, help others! When you buy from my shop, 25% of what you pay will be going toward donations.
Currently, donations will go to buy art supplies and coloring books for people who are in long term health care situations.

If you'd like to know, here's my shop story:

I started my store several years ago as a way to fund my newfound love of crocheting. It was then called Hooks & Reels. I had grand plans to sell an assortment of crochet items (hooks) as well as selling prints from my photography - a field I've always wanted to be in (reels).

At the time, however, I was struggling with depression and found it difficult to stay motivated for such a slow craft, and was apathetic to put much effort into my shop. I didn't close down my shop, but I didn't update it, either. Then I started working in the "real world" and all of my energy went into working 2-3 jobs. Bye, bye, Hooks & Reels.

Since getting help with my depression, I have realized my priorities have changed. Now that I can survive the real world, I want to conquer it (lame, but true). I've revamped my shop in the hopes of making a life that lets me live according to my values: time with my family, art, helping others via donations, and traveling, as well as time to rest. After dealing with depression I've learned how important rest can be. So, here's to working on what you love! Let's hope I stick with it this time ;)

If you've lasted this long, thank you for reading! I hope you like my shop. Feel free to message me if you have any questions!

Hello! Thanks for checking out my shop! As you've probably seen, I sell art prints and posters, as well as hand-bound art journals. I also sell some small notebooks and scrapbooks. I try to use recycled material, so often times in the scrapbooks the paper will be mismatched.

I would also like to let you know that 25% of all incoming money gets donated. These donations are subject to change. Currently, donation money will be going to buy adult coloring books and art supplies for people with long-term health problems that have to be in a hospital or care center long term.
