Gerri McCully Hooping Bio
McCully has been hooping for 9 years and teaching hoop skills for four years. Coming from a jogging, dance and crossfit background, she has found herself in the hoop, allowing a combination of hooping, jogging and dance in an art form of creativity and expression in and with the hoop.

After many requests for instructions on how to “Hoop Like That”, she became certified through Bodyhoops in 2012 to teach and instruct hooping fitness and dance. She then created the "Hula Hooping Fun and Fit Workout" that is now a new fitness craze in Cleveland and across Ohio. Locally, she is positioned as the hooping fitness guru guaranteed to have you hooping in 5 minutes.

Soon after offering the "Hula Hooping Fun and Fit Workout" at area recreation centers, the demand for hoops was instant and McCully now designs and manufactures hoops to ensure successful hooping for all that attempt to hula hoop. She has been teaching Hoop dance basics to all ages in the United States for the past four years at various recreation centers, festivals, outdoor events, various corporate wellness fitness events, etc. Many have gazed upon her lively and uplifting hooping style and have expressed a desire to experience it. She is more than willing to share her talents through instruction and demonstrations, both group and individual sessions.

Gerri’s credentials include an MBA, more than twenty years in Cleveland’s business scene, and something nobody can teach: marketing instinct and savvy. Gerri focuses on promotional concepts that actually make money. “I am passionate about the growth of small businesses and the partnership vision”, says McCully which is to help our clients integrate their online marketing with their traditional marketing so that they can approach the market in a comprehensive way, competing more effectively”.

Ms. McCully’s background includes sales, event management and internet marketing, fund raising, merchandising, consulting and management, prior to bringing her talents to benefit the Cleveland business community.
Gerri’s passion for marketing is surpassed only by her love of family—Gerri is a mother of four children who make her proud. In that rare commodity Gerri calls spare time, she enjoys hula hooping, golfing, hiking, camping, traveling, swimming, jogging and solving complex jigsaw puzzles. She remains active in the community and supports many charitable organizations.

A native of Cleveland, Ohio, and a “double alum” at Cleveland State University, Ms. McCully received a MBA as well as a bachelor degree in Business Administration. She is a member of The President’s Council Emerging Entrepreneurs class of 2006-07. She maintains membership with CSU Alumni organization.
