Refunds and Exchanges
"What about returns or can I get something changed about my jewelry art piece?"

Of course, but let's work together on that first. I understand that sometimes jewelry doesn't look the way you thought it would look on your horse. If you feel the need to return your purchase contact me by email as soon as possible. Perhaps I can modify the jewelry piece some to your liking, or maybe you would be happier with an even exchange for another piece of jewelry. Allow me to try to give you a better experience as a collector.

"But I would really just like to return the item and get a refund, so what now?"

Sure, we can do that as long as a few guidelines are followed.....
Art piece is returned within two weeks of confirmed delivery date, return postage is at your cost and must be trackable
Returned piece must be in the same condition as received, I need to get the art piece back in a resalable condition
Returns must be pre-approved by myself before shipping back to me. Please contact me asap if you decide a simple return is what you really need.
Once the conditions are met , I will then issue you a refund through the payment method you used less 10% return fee

"I don't have time for all this emailing stuff, I'm just going to send it back and wait for my money. I have buyer's remorse."

I hate to hear that but if you want to do a return that way I will charge a 20% unapproved return fee from your refund. I want you to please contact me first, I'm confident we can work something out to your satisfaction.

"I've bought this item from you a few months ago but I want to return it now. Can I still get a refund?"

No, I'm afraid not, my two week allowance for returns is reasonable and fair for you and me. My art business is not like Amazon.com or Walmart; I have to operate in a more individualistic fashion, please understand.

If you have a unique situation requiring a return not covered here please contact me, I am willing to work things out with you where we come into an agreement.

Frequently asked questions

Common Sense Usage of Mane Dangle Jewelry attached to Your Horse

* Please slowly condition your horse to accept the noise of the bells and wearing the jewelry dangle moving against their neck before riding at any length. Some horses will be very accepting to the bells sound in a short time; other horses will need more time and patience for acceptance. I recommend conditioning your horse on the ground first before riding with the mane dangle bell jewelry.

*Please do not leave your horse unattended while it is wearing any mane jewelry.

*Please do not allow your horse to lick, bite, chew or step on the mane jewelry especially since most designs have glass or metal beads.

* The mane hair jewelry is designed as an ornament for decoration on your horse with pleasing bell sounds to soothe the horse

Additional Tips for Mane Dangle Jewelry worn on Your Horse

* The mane hair jewelry is designed as an ornament for decoration on your horse with pleasing bell sounds to soothe the horse/warn wildlife on trails. Please do not secure or restrain your horse using the mane jewelry strand as any sort of tie.

* Please use the mane jewelry on dry hair that does not have any type of chemical or oily hair conditioner residue so the residue does not react to the natural gemstones and or leather cord used to make the mane jewelry strand

*My Mane hair jewelry designs are created for wear on the horse’s mane only and not recommended placing the jewelry dangle on the horse’s forelock or anywhere close to the horse’s eyes, ears or face. Also not designed as a tail ornament, please to not attach to the tail.

Care instructions

Wipe clean with a damp soft cloth or very dilute gentle soap solution periodically. Do not immerse in water or soap to clean. The charms can be polished with a Sunshine jewelry cleaning cloth or similar.

Attaching the horse mane hair jewelry dangle

If you are using a mane dangle style, place the jewelry strand on the horses mane toward the middle of the neck (see picture of my horse demo) and if using the swag style drape the jewelry beads/bells in the middle section of your horse’s mane (see pic demo on my horse). For the mane dangle (one clip style) I recommend taking a section of the mane hair, about the width of a regular writing pencil, and make a short braid or plait with an elastic band. Then attach the alligator clip securely on one or more of the braid strands. If you want even more secure hold, tie a string material of your choice around the metal ring holding the alligator clip and then tie onto your horses mane braid along with the alligator clip as well.

Attaching a Swag Style Mane Jewelry Design

For the mane swag style, make at least one braid or two braids (one for the first clip and one for the last clip) to secure to and clip the others (clips) to at least a pencil’s width section of mane hair.

Breakage of Stringing Materials Safety Factor

All stringing materials I use in my mane hair jewelry designs have a low break-ability rating, from 15 lbs of pressure (Acculon wire) to 40 lbs of pressure (waxed woven cotton cord) just in case the jewelry strand gets caught unexpectedly on an object. Rest assured the string is strong enough to hold the beads and bells for many uses over time but in case of an emergency the stringing material will break under acute pressure releasing your horse’s hair freely.

Nature of Using Bells in the Mane Jewelry

My mane dangle or swag style horse jewelry offers the effect of lovely beaded decoration and soothing rhythmical bell tones for your horse as you are riding. Horses respond very well to seeing or hearing any type of rhythm (motion or sound) in their environment.

I use different sizes and types of bells for sounds, some bell types are louder than others. Different types of bells (jingle, sleigh, clamshell, brass bell, hawk bells) all have different musical tones as well. Some bells even have more of a rattle sound. I try to describe the tone of the bells in each design.
