About Us
Benvenuti a Houha Designs
Un po' su di noi. Siamo un team di due persone, Tom Houha e Patty Mora. Abbiamo uno studio a casa su sei acri di terreno boscoso vicino a Portland, Oregon. Circondati da boschi e fauna selvatica, siamo grati che il nostro negozio Etsy ci abbia permesso di lavorare da casa, esplorare la nostra creatività e vendere i nostri prodotti in tutto il mondo.
Tom è un architetto e designer. Il suo interesse per la geometria e il modellismo lo ha ispirato a progettare piccoli e divertenti modelli da regalare a familiari e amici. Con il crescere dell'interesse e della popolarità per i suoi modelli, si è presto reso conto che c'era il potenziale per produrre i suoi progetti a livello commerciale.
Patty è un'artista e fotografa. Si è trasferita da Austin, in Texas, dove ha gestito un affermato studio fotografico per oltre dieci anni. Le competenze artistiche e commerciali di Patty si sono integrate con le competenze tecniche e di design di Tom, portando alla creazione di Houha Designs. Patty è fotografa, grafica e responsabile del negozio Etsy.
Informazioni sul nostro prodotto: Creiamo e vendiamo kit di modellismo sia geometrici che architettonici. Disponiamo anche di schede 3D tagliate al laser. I nostri prodotti sono progettati da noi e sono esclusivi per il nostro negozio. Dopo la fase di progettazione, tutti i componenti vengono tagliati al laser con precisione e precisione, un foglio alla volta. Siamo responsabili di ogni fase della produzione, dall'ideazione alla spedizione. Siamo entusiasti di ricevere complimenti positivi dai nostri clienti. Ripagano davvero tutto il duro lavoro.
Lavoriamo molte ore, ma ci piace il lavoro e siamo fortunati ad avere uno studio in casa. Abbiamo un ufficio non ufficiale nella casa sull'albero tiki di Tom (progettata e costruita da lui, ovviamente), dove di tanto in tanto potreste trovarlo a sorseggiare una bevanda tropicale e a inventare nuovi prodotti per Houha Designs.
Welcome to Houha Designs
A little bit about us. We are a team of two, Tom Houha and Patty Mora. We have a home studio on six wooded acres near Portland Oregon. Surrounded by woods and wildlife we are appreciative that our Etsy shop has made it possible for us to work from home, explore our creativity and sell our products all over the world.
Tom is an architect and designer. Tom’s interest in geometry and model building inspired him to design fun little models to be given away as gifts to family and friends. As interest and popularity for his models grew he soon realized there was potential to produce his designs commercially.
Patty is an artist and photographer. She relocated from Austin Texas where she owned a successful photography studio for over ten years. Patty’s art and business skills complimented Tom’s design and technical skills, leading to the formation of Houha Designs. Patty is photographer, graphic designer and manager of the Etsy shop.
About our product: We create and sell model kits both geometric and architectural. We also have 3D laser cut cards. Our products are designed by us and are unique to our shop. After the design phase all parts are intricately and precisely cut by a laser one sheet at a time. We are responsible for every step of production from conception to shipping. We are thrilled to get positive compliments from our customers. It really makes all the hard work worth it.
We work long hours but enjoy the work and are fortunate to have a home studio. We have an unofficial office in Tom’s tiki treehouse (designed and built by Tom, of course) where you might find him from time to time enjoying a tropical beverage and dreaming up new products for Houha Designs.
