A love of greyhounds and creativity combined!

HoundMade Designs was born out of a love for greyhounds - we adopted our first from an animal shelter in 1994 - and a love for anything creative.

I went to the huge greyhound gathering known as 'Greyhounds Reach the Beach' in Delaware, USA, and discovered all the pretty and unusual things that they had there for greyhounds and their people. I came home and began making my own designs inspired by what I had seen there, and people began commenting on them and saying I should sell them.

Then I became involved with the adoption of ex-racing greyhounds. Things snowballed, as they do, and now I'm the main fundraiser for Brambleberry Greyhounds RGT. I organise Meet & Greets, do boot sales, street collections and stands at shows etc. And £1 per sale at HMD goes to Brambleberry.

HoundMade Designs contributes more than just the £1 per sale, though, because unless I were able to sell some of my work, I wouldn't be able to fund new materials. This way, I am also able to donate items to charity auctions like the Miss Nellie Fund which raises money for the research team at Ohio State University where they are working very hard to find a cause and a cure for osteosarcoma in these beautiful dogs.
