Very happy with purchase.Christmas gift for my wife. Great buy
House of Lucien is where I share all things beautiful and vintage for the home
I have collected beautiful vintage serving dishes and gorgeous antique housewares for many years. I love to cook and bake, and food just looks more delicious when presented in a pretty dish, doesn't it? If I see a gorgeous vintage item I feel like it is my duty to give it a good home.
I have a baking blog called The Alchemist. A great love of mine is not only cooking or baking the food, but also setting tablescapes with the food I blog about with china and accessories from House of Lucien. As shown in some of these photos.
Here's the link to my blog
I have a new shop here on Etsy called Coco's Kitchen where I sell vintage cookbooks and vintage kitchen items, check it out here
I live with my husband and my precious little papillon, Lucien and our loving little terrier named Coco in a small town in Western Washington. We moved here from Los Angeles where I persued a career in acting. We live on a small farm with a flock of free range chickens.

I'm Melissa and I love to cook, bake and entertain. I love vintage china and glassware, so I wanted to share some of my finds with the world here at House of Lucien! I have a baking blog called The Alchemist. That's Lucien with me in the photo!

Frequently asked questions
What happens if my fragile item arrives broken?
No problem. There is never a risk shopping at House of Lucien. We insure everything we sell. We pack items with great care, so it's rare for items to arrived damaged, but in case they do, you will receive a full refund including the shipping costs. Just let us know within 5 days of arrival. We will need photos of the damage, and photos of the packaging for insurance purposes.
Do you combine shipping on multiple item purchases?
Yes, always! If you wish to purchase more than one item, please let us know and we will be happy to calculate a personalized shipping cost. Just let us know which items you are interested in, and your location. We will get back to you within 24 hours.
Shipping costs are based on where you live, the weight of the item and size of the package. Usually the shipping cost in my listings are calculated by Etsy. I've simply added the weight and size of the package into the Etsy shipping calculator. When done this way it is usually accurate and only charges the buyer the actual shipping cost. I never add on to the actual cost of shipping. But if the shipping cost of an item seems high please let me know and I can recalculate it. If you ever have a question about the shipping cost, or anything else, I am always happy to hear from you and answer any question you may have.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
Yes! On most items we offer free gift wrapping on orders within the U.S. only, upon request. (I don't gift wrap for international orders because unfortunately, orders going through customs may get opened, also the shipping costs are so high I don't want to add on any extra weight.)
Just let us know at checkout, along with any note you have for the recipient. We're always happy to add a personalized note from you, even if your item cannot be gift wrapped.
We gift wrap smaller items, we don't gift wrap larger items, or a large set of glasses. If you have a question about if your item qualifies for gift wrapping don't hesitate to ask, I'm always happy to help.
How are fragile items packaged?
We ship all fragile items with great care. We use recycled packing material I receive from a local business. Usually we use either Styrofoam packing peanuts, air bags or a combination of the two. If you have a preference, please let us know in the notes to seller.
Here are some reviews from our customers about their packaging.
"I'm so happy with my glasses! They arrived so quickly, and in perfect condition...very impressed with how well they were packed."
"Package came very well wrapped and protected! Seller took the time to make sure the tea cup set wouldn't break during shipping."
"The teacup and saucer were so well packaged, I don't know if even a bomb would have broken them. Over all a great purchasing experience!"
When will my order be shipped?
We ship all orders the next business day. If you need an item quickly or within a certain time frame please let us know. I will do my best to accommodate your request, or let you know what shipping options you have for expedited shipping. Customer satisfaction is very important to us.
