This sweet little box is both elegant and sturdy, a perfect place to protect one's keepsakes and treasures. It is exquisitely designed and wonderfully constructed and I am delighted to give this to my daughter for Christmas! Seller was so helpful and kind.

The Joy of Nature

I grew up in Maryland near the Chesapeake Bay, and it's still my favorite place to be. I create my artworks and handmade accents from my nature photography. I try to capture just how special the historical landmarks, birds, butterflies, and plants of Maryland are to me.

I use my own nature photography in my artworks, but you can hire me to make something special from your photo too!

Every purchase from Hummingbird Bay supports my nonprofit. In addition to making art, I am head of a conservation committee dedicated to conserving our precious birds and butterflies. Open meadows full of natural flowers need to be protected from overdevelopment and unnecessary mowing so these little creatures can have a home. Thank you!

Each of my original art pieces represents nature as I experience it: the reality captured on camera, and digital effects to express a rediscovered sense of wonder and fantasy. Every piece is 100% handmade and 100% unique. I want you to open the package and say "Wow! This is even more beautiful than I imagined!"

If you would like something special created with your photo (all you do is send me the digital file!) or in a custom color, please send me an Etsy conversation to inquire. I will send you photos at various stages of completion to approve so I'll only finalize something if you love it!

Please allow up to 3 weeks for creation of custom designs.

Returns and exchanges
If you are not completely satisfied with your fine art original or vintage purchase, you can return the item in original condition for a replacement or refund of the purchase price within 30 days. I'll even reimburse return shipping. Buying art online can be scary, and I want you to purchase with confidence.

Cancellations: Orders for ready-to-ship items may be cancelled at any time if I haven't shipped it yet. Just keep in mind I normally ship within one to two business days of payment--usually the next day.

Custom orders with your photo or text require full payment up front and items personalized with your photo or text are non-refundable if since cannot sell them to anyone else. I will send you photos of work in progress and keep communication open so you'll love what I make for you!

Payment
Payment: I accept payment via PayPal, Etsy Gift Card, or Credit Card. My shop uses Etsy Direct Checkout.

All items require full payment before shipping. Custom personalized items must be paid in full before I begin work on them.
Shipping
I ship anywhere within the United States, including minor outlying islands and Puerto Rico. Also now shipping to Australia, United Kingdom, and Canada! Most ready-to-ship items go out within 1 to 2 business days, and made-to-order items ship in 2 to 3 weeks.

If shipping looks a little high, it's because I live on the East Coast of the US and I have to base the estimate on the possibility of shipping all the way to the other coast. If I ship your package and the cost is over $1 more than what I charged (I do have to buy bubble wrap and stuff!), I will refund the overage and let you know how much when I send you your shipping notification. If there is a way to ship more cost effectively, I'll do it!

If shipping cost is an issue and you're dead serious about ordering something, send me your address and I can reserve the items for 48 hours and give exact shipping to your location.

Likewise, please let me know if you need expedited shipping and I can invoice you via Paypal or create a custom shipping upgrade listing for you to purchase on Etsy.

I provide tracking and insurance for your peace of mind and mine. This is included in posted shipping charges.

I take great care in packaging items for shipping, especially irreplaceable vintage! In the event that an item is broken in transit----Please keep the item exactly as you originally found it so an insurance claim can be filed. I can issue your refund or replace your item once the claim is successfully processed.

If a package doesn't arrive as expected and tracking shows as delivered, it may be with a neighbor, at your local post office, or a family member may have brought it into your house and put it somewhere out of site. Please make every effort to find the package, and then contact me so I can file a claim with the post office. I may be able to track it down before we declare it lost and file a claim.

International Customers: Import duties, taxes, and charges are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are your responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be before you make your purchase. Customs checks are random, and delays are always possible with any order shipped internationally. In most cases, international orders take up to 3 weeks after shipping to arrive, and could be longer in case of customs delays. I ship First Class International to keep shipping costs down, but insurance and delivery confirmation are still included.
