About

Hunter Pass, our story

Hunter Pass Leather Goods is two sisters, Carly and Aubree Ng. Our moniker is a nod to the street we grew up on in the southern Californian desert. With a painter for a mother and a musician for a father, we were both constantly creating. Our interest in leather work piqued when we inherited a set of antique leather tools from our Uncle. After a year of making things for mostly ourselves, friends, and family, we decided to expand our part-time hobby into a business.

We make everything by hand, from scratch. Each product starts from a single hide (sourced from Horween Leather Company or locally here in Oregon.) It is then hand-cut, riveted, and hand-sewn using only our two hands. We pride ourselves on our hand-stitching, meaning that we don’t use an industrial sewing machine but instead just a good ol’ needle and thread. From conceptualizing, prototyping, to production, each product has been created with intent and love. Lastly, our products are made to be used and made to last.

Hunter Pass is currently based in rainy city of Portland, Oregon.

Hi, I'm Carly! If I'm not in the studio with my two cats, you can find me biking around town, reading, or working part-time at my local nursery. I love to cook, take long walks, and I'm constantly on a search for a new, secret swimming hole.

Hey there! I'm Aubree, one half to Hunter Pass. Outside of work and Etsy I spend most of my time around Portland riding bikes, camping in my 1971 VW bus, and running in the hills around my house with my pup Chapter.
