Handcrafted with Love

Hello and welcome! I'm Jess and I’ve been on Etsy since January 2016, and I must say I have not been disappointed. I want to personally thank everyone who has purchased from, left a review, or just viewed my shop. No view/ order/ review goes unnoticed, thank you so much!

I’ve been making handcrafted jewelry for about seven years! My house is filled with scrap pieces of paper with sketches for jewelry designs (you never know when you are going to get an idea and write it down on an old grocery receipt).

Not only do I make all the jewelry, I also run the entire business, down to the bare bones of the thing. Aside from making the jewelry, I love photographing it. In 2012 I invested in a DSLR and haven't looked back.

Please take a look around, ask questions, make comments, or just buy something. I'm here to help you!

Additional policies and FAQs

In some instances I can customize a preexisting item for you. If you are interested in customizing a listing please copy and paste the link to the preexisting item into an email and send it to me with your customized request.

When I receive your email I will then specify whether or not your customization is possible. If it is not I can usually offer other options to satisfy your needs.

Once we have decided on a customization, I will create a custom listing and email the link to you. Please read the description and specifications very carefully before adding this item to your cart and please contact me with any discrepancies.

Once production of your customized order has begun, your order cannot be changed. If you decide you do not want the item you ordered you can cancel the order 48 hours after the purchase is made. If you decide you want a different custom item I will cancel your order, refund your money, and create a new listing for you.

Please note, I do not ship any custom orders until all details and specifications are finalized. Sometimes requests are not clear and I may have additional questions. If you have made a custom request please make sure to check your email as regularly as possible until you receive the link to the custom listing and have made the final purchase of the custom listing you have asked for.

Also, please keep in mind that custom orders can take up to two weeks to finalize.

1) Wash your jewelry with a little dish soap in warm water (to free it of any skin and dust particles).

2) Use a little toothpaste on an old or unused toothbrush (don't use this in your mouth after you clean your jewelry) and give your jewelry a little scrub. Run under tap water and continue this process until all tarnish is at bay and your metal takes on its shiny natural hue. (This whole process should take under ten minutes.)

For all PERMANENTLY COLORED COPPER pieces, ONLY wash with a little soap and water if necessary. Also avoid wearing this jewelry when wet.
How to take care of your jewelry:

It’s important that you don’t wear your jewelry in water. Copper (and aluminum) have been known to leave marks on the skin if worn on perspiring or wet skin (a green or black mark). To avoid this mild, natural staining, take off your jewelry before emerging your hands or yourself into water. I’ve had no problems with copper leaving marks, but I take proper precautions.

Also, when not wearing your jewelry keep the elements (moisture & sunlight) at bay. Some beads are dyed and if left in a window sill for a long period of time, will fade and lose their luster. Also by keeping your jewelry in a dry, dark, safe place you lessen the aging process of the metal (tarnish is slower to creep in and change the color of your jewelry).

Aluminum is a very soft metal which makes it great for wire working. It has a nice natural shine that dazzles in light (recognized to look more like platinum than silver). But because it is soft it can lose it's shape if put under pressure.

Copper is a little bit more sturdy than aluminum. It is not as soft, but it also has a nice color and shine and as it ages it gets a nice patina. The copper I use is 99.9% copper so is free of nickel and shouldn't cause issues among those who have nickel sensitivity. Copper should not be worn in water, nor should any other jewelry, because it can leave a green or black residue on the skin if left in contact and continuously moist.

Sterling Silver has a little bit of copper in it, but not enough so that those with copper sensitivity (such as myself) should be affected by it. It is a little bit more springy than copper and aluminum and has a nice white shine too it. It will tarnish over time and can easily be polished using methods laid out in this section of my shop.

Wire jewelry is great stuff but me mindful that wire can bend. If you put pressure on your jewelry, or give it a good tug (or your child gets hold of it) it will lose it's shape and weaken with every additional bend. The lower the gauge of wire, the thicker and more sturdy it is, but thicker gauges can also be affected if they are treated rough. Treat your wire jewelry with care and it will last forever.

Because all items are handmade you’ll find that perfection is a myth. To get two earrings to look exactly alike is nearly impossible. To duplicate an item to perfection is also nearly impossible. Handmade is all about the little imperfections, these imperfections are what give the jewelry personality! That’s the beauty of handmade stuff.

Be mindful that the jewelry in this shop may look slightly different in real life. It’s sometimes hard to get real life color perfect in a photo. Also, because images are close up, the items appear much, much, much larger than they really are. Take a ring for example: In the photograph you may see nice beautiful ripples in the stone, but when you get the ring they are hardly noticeable. I do close up photos so you can get a good idea of how the jewelry is crafted
