Owner, Maker, Designer
I used to be a professional software developer. But I became fascinated by melting glass to create lampwork beads. I have since left the digital black and white world of computers and have stepped into the colourful, analogue glass world. I love it!
Please contact me if you have any questions. You can send me an Etsy Conversation (convo) or email me at: contact [!at] icedmoments.com.
*** WARNING: CHOKING HAZARD – Bead and jewellery parts are small. Not suitable for babies or young children ***
Until a few years ago I earned my living by writing computer programs and giving training courses. But then I became fascinated by the idea of melting glass to create lampwork beads. I have since left the digital black and white world of computers and have stepped into the colourful, analogue glass world. Love it!
Accepted payment methods
- Accepts Etsy gift cards
- Other Method
I also accept payments made by bank transfer for customers outside the United States.
Payment must be received within 3 days of ordering, otherwise, regretfully, the order will be cancelled. Please contact me if you think that payment will take longer than 3 days.
Please note that I will ship to the address that you have registered with Etsy, so please make sure that it is correct.
Where possible I recycle my packaging. Loose beads and small pieces of jewellery are wrapped individually in tissue paper and then bubble-wrap. Fun lapel pins and headpins are individually wrapped in tissue paper and then placed into a cardboard tube which is then bubble-wrapped. All other items are packaged in a gift box. All items are placed in a padded envelope. Where possible I will try to ensure that the package can be delivered by normal post, through your letterbox. If you would prefer me to place your items in a box, please let me know (extra charges apply).
Refunds and Exchanges
I am obliged under new EU regulations to supply you with a return form that you may -- but are not obliged to -- use if you wish to return a product.
I'm sorry, but I cannot accept returns for items that you have asked me to make for you or that I have substantially altered for you.
Additional policies and FAQs
If you require a set of matching headpins then you should send me a convo or email telling me that you want matching headpins, how many you need and what you intend doing with them (earrings, for example). Depending on your request there may be an extra surcharge, as I usually need to make many more than are needed in order to get a matching set. But please realise that they will not be exact matches. You will have to give me a little leeway for these handmade items, but they will be fairly close in size and shape.
Depending on how busy I am you may need to wait up to a week or two longer. Let me know if you are in a hurry and I will do my best.
--- Custom Orders ---
I am happy to talk to you about your custom order. In general a custom order will be more expensive than ordering something directly from the web shop. Think of it as being the difference between buying a ready-to-wear garment from a department store and going to a dressmaker or tailor who makes something specifically for you.
In the beginning stages we will work together to come up with a design that you like. The more images and ideas that you supply the better idea I will have of what you would like. I will make some rough samples which I will photograph and send to you.
Once you have decided on a design I will write up a design specification describing the design, the cost per piece, the shipping costs, and the estimated time to complete the order.
When we both agree on the design spec then I will set up a reserved listing for your order on Etsy. I will require a down payment of 50% of the final price before I start the order.
*** Please note that any changes to the design after this stage will impact the delivery time and could incur extra charges. ***
After I have finished the items I will send you photos of the completed order. If you are happy with the results then you will complete the payment and then I will ship the order.
Note that I cannot accept returns for custom orders.
--- How big is a US penny? ---
In some photos I use a US penny to give you an idea of the size of the item. Of course, if you don't live in America then you may not know how big a US penny is. It is about 19 mm diameter (0.75"). As far as I can determine, it is about the same size as a 2 euro cent coin (18.75 mm), a 5 cent Australian coin (19.4 mm), and a UK 5 pence coin (18 mm).
