Who is Idamé? What's that?
Idamé, c'est qui ? c'est quoi ?
My mom and grandmother taught me sewing, they passed on their passion to me.
My man is passionate about 3D printing.
Then... What if? Yes! What if we joined forces to mix our two passions?!
The idea was launched, the project was born!
On May 23, 2017, we created Idamé together. We have combined our passions and our first names: DavID A MÉlanie (and for the A it is a secret) with the desire to attach importance to two points that are essential to us;
- Made in France with Love, how to produce and consume intelligently and sustainably? For this, all our fashion accessories are designed, printed, manufactured and sewn by hand, in Lille.
- Innovation and ecology, how to offer different and environmentally friendly fashion items? For this, all our accessories are 3D printed with PLA. It is a plant-based plastic, therefore without oil and safe for the planet.
In September, we created our first collection of 3D printed bow ties as well as a new unique fastening system that makes it easy and quick to change the bow tie's neck circumference.
Ma maman et ma grand-mère m’ont appris la couture, elles m’ont transmis leur passion.
Mon homme, lui, il est passionné par l’impression 3D.
Alors … et si ? Oui ! Et si on s’associait pour mixer nos deux passions ?!
L’idée était lancée, le projet est né !
Le 23 mai 2017, nous avons créé ensemble Idamé. Nous avons associé nos passions et nos prénoms : DavID A MÉlanie (et pour le A c’est un secret) avec la volonté d’attacher de l’importance à deux points qui nous sont essentiels ;
- Made in France with Love, comment produire et consommer intelligemment et durablement ? Pour cela, tous nos accessoires de mode sont conçus, imprimés, fabriqués et cousus à la main, à Lille.
- Innovation et écologie, comment proposer des articles de mode différents et respectueux de l’environnement ? Pour cela, tous nos accessoires sont imprimés en 3D avec du PLA. C’est un plastique végétal, donc sans pétrole et sans danger pour la planète.
En septembre, nous avons créé notre première collection de noeuds papillons imprimés en 3D ainsi qu’un nouveau système d’attache unique permettant de facilement et rapidement changer le tour de cou du noeud papillon.
