Nel maggio 2014 mi sono sposato e mi sono trasferito da Portland, Oregon a Halifax, Nuova Scozia. Mentre ero nel processo di immigrazione, in attesa di un permesso di lavoro, ho deciso di dedicarmi a un hobby; così è iniziata la mia ossessione per tutto ciò che riguarda il filato. Il mio amore per l'uncinetto è diventato rapidamente più simile a una dipendenza e da allora non ho smesso di "agganciare"! Porto i miei ganci e filati con me ovunque - l'auto, il parco, le passeggiate. Adoro stare seduta a casa, con una tazza di caffè, e progettare qualcosa di bello!
Dopo molti incoraggiamenti da parte di amici e familiari, ho deciso di trasformare il mio hobby in qualcos'altro. Qualcosa che aiuterebbe gli altri. Dal 2008 io e il mio attuale marito abbiamo fatto diversi viaggi in tutto il mondo e abbiamo trascorso il nostro tempo facendo volontariato dove necessario. Questi viaggi ci hanno aperto gli occhi sulle vaste esigenze che sono in tutto il mondo. I'm in the Loop è stato creato per due motivi distinti:
1. Creare una consapevolezza di alcuni dei bisogni sia in Nord America che in tutto il mondo
2. Inviare denaro per aiutare chi ne ha bisogno
I'm in the Loop è un gioco di parole. "The Loop" rappresenta certamente il loop letterale dell'uncinetto. ma rappresenta anche esigenze globali. Rappresenta aprire gli occhi ed essere "nel giro" su ciò che sta accadendo intorno a noi.
Il nostro obiettivo a I'm in the Loop è quello di realizzare oggetti personalizzati solo per te e i tuoi cari che ti ricordano ogni volta che usi i tuoi accessori accoglienti, o ogni volta che tuo figlio abbraccia il suo piccolo peluche, che stai aiutando a fare la differenza in tutto il mondo.

In May, 2014 I got married and moved from Portland, Oregon to Halifax, Nova Scotia. As I was in the immigration process, waiting on a work permit, I decided to pick up a hobby; thus began my obsession with anything yarn related. My love for crocheting quickly became more like an addiction and I haven't stopped "hooking" since! I bring my hooks and yarn with me anywhere-- the car, the park, on walks. I love sitting at home, with a cup of coffee, and designing something beautiful!
After much encouragement from friends and family, I decided to turn my hobby into something else. Something that would help others. Since 2008 my now-husband and I have taken several different trips around the world and spent our time volunteering where needed. These trips opened our eyes to the vast needs that are all around the world. I'm in the Loop was created for two distinct reasons:
1. To create an awareness of some of the needs both in North America and around the world
2. To send money to aid those in need
I'm in the Loop is a play on words. "The Loop" certainly represents the literal crochet loop. but it also represents global needs. It represents opening our eyes and being 'in the loop' as to what's going on around us.
Our goal at I'm in the Loop is to make custom items just for you and your loved ones that give you a reminder each time you use your cozy accessories, or each time your child hugs his little stuffed animal, that you are helping to make a difference around the world.
All of our items made at I'm in the Loop are either designed by myself or purchased and used with permission from the original designers. We do our very best to ensure you are getting the highest quality at the best price.
