Welcome to Impressions In Cloth, As an award-winning fiber artist, I have designed and created by hand every original piece displayed here.
My inspiration comes from Mother nature, a love of history, a respect for ancient cultures and family travels.
My larger works take months of planning and completion. . I try to capture a moment in time; personal moments with a universal understanding.
I only use quality threads, fabrics and batting materials. I often use hundreds of small fused pieces to build depth and distance into the landscape, achieving the Impressionistic feel I am seeking. Every art quilt is finished with a hand -sewn binding, a four inch hanging sleeve. .Sometimes, there is a label with the title, date, and my signature. I can provide a Certificate of Authenticity, if you would like.
