About

Divine Inspiration

I first started sewing scraps of fabric while sitting on the floor next to my mother's sewing machine as a young child. She gave me scraps of fabric, needles and thread and I created "clothes' for my dolls, and puppy.
Through my life I have always stitched up various items here and there as I found a need for things. It wasn't until after becoming a mother and rediscovering my sewing machine which had been packed away for many years due to many moves that I began crafting in earnest. During those years I discovered wool. Knitting, felting, using wool sweaters to make kids' crafts. I knitted bunnies, I felted dragons, I crafted dolls out of sweaters.
Then I desired to make something to celebrate the priestess in me and the Goddess in every woman. Inspired by a painting I did of a blue goddess, I drafted the pattern that is the one I now use for all my goddess dolls.
I cut them from sweaters I have thrifted for, stuff them with wool and lavender, and let them tell me their story as I needle felt designs onto them.
Every one is different. Every one has her own story.
Just like us.
