In life and in our art, nature is our biggest inspiration. Together with our two little boys, we spend much of our free time seeking out wild places to explore and learn from.
We just moved from the rural mountains of Colorado to the wonderful town of Bend, Oregon.

Δ A N G E L A Δ
My day job includes the duties of cleaning lady, cook, teacher, wife, chauffeur, launderer (as in clothes, not money), and referee to my two sweet, wild little boys.
I have always loved being able to stay at home with my kids, but at some point I realized I had lost myself in all the day-to-day madness. I began feeling like everything I did was for my family or my home, and nothing I did was just for me.
In came my jewelry hobby. It became my refuge from the craziness that is life with two small children. It became my sanity, my balance.
I put a lot of time, thought, and creativity into each piece of jewelry that I make, and I hope it shows! I've always had an urge to create. I've dabbled in a variety of creative pursuits over the years, including clay, painting, photography, writing, and cooking. Somehow my jewelry making just seems like a natural extension of all that.
You'll see a bit of the earthy, laid back, simple feel of the mountains in a lot of my jewelry. I like to design things that I (or you!) could wear any day (or every day)!
The part of me that also likes an occasional (oh, who am I kidding?-- exceedingly rare!) night out in the city also likes to design an occasional flashy or more modern piece of jewelry. So, you'll see some of that in my shop, too.

During the day I'm a Forest Service wildlife biologist. On occasional evenings or weekends, when I find time for painting, carving, or printing, I'm an artist. But really, I'm kind of always both...
As an ecologist, I view landscapes as processes, driven by natural forces. As an artist, they are shapes, forms and textures. As a person, I view landscapes as experiences. All of these perspectives are incorporated into my works, which explore my relationship with landscape. My artwork relies on nature as a true collaborator.
