LISA BENNETT - FÖRKLÄDEN UNDER TILLVERKNING - "Allt började med ett denimförkläde med korsrygg som jag gjorde för att bära när jag gjorde mina egna konstverk. Jag öppnade en webbutik och fick snart förfrågningar från konstnärer, keramiker och hantverkare om anpassningar och fokuserade helt på dessa specialiserade arbetsförkläden."
Jag tog min konstgrundutbildning vid Oxford Brookes University, följt av en kandidatexamen i modedesign från Kingston University, och studerade senare en professionell utvecklingskurs i experimentell illustration vid University of the Arts London (UAL London College of Communication). Efter konsthögskolan arbetade jag inom musikbranschen i 10 år, sedan ett par år inom bokförlagsbranschen innan jag återupptog design- och illustrationsarbete, främst med applikationer/broderier/tryck för barnkläder, men även rekvisitatillverkning och handledningar/workshops i hantverk.

LISA BENNETT - IN THE MAKING APRONS - "It all started with a denim cross back apron made to wear whilst doing my own artwork. I opened an online shop and soon got enquiries from artists, potters and makers about customisations and became entirely focused on these specialist workwear aprons.
I completed my Art Foundation at Oxford Brookes University followed by a BA Degree in Fashion Design from Kingston University, later studying Experimental Illustration professional development course at University of the Arts London (UAL London College of Communication). Following art college I worked in the music industry for 10 years then a couple of years in book publishing before resuming design & illustration work, mainly appliqué/embroidery/print for childrenswear, but also prop making and craft tutorials/workshops.
