If you are ordering multiple items (more than just one or two) and they are custom, the order will likely take longer than the normal 3 to 5 days. I will let you know how long via Etsy convo.

Please be certain that you provide the proper spelling for all custom orders! You must put your instructions in the NOTES section of the order. If you provide the wrong spelling, we cannot be responsible for it.

Custom orders are not returnable but if there is a workmanship problem I will always correct it.

Each item is shipped in a gift box and has a circular IN THE QUIET sticker on the cover. It will be very presentable to give a as a gift. We also will gladly enclose a gift card in the box that either says A GIFT FOR YOU. The card is blank inside so you can write a message when you receive it. If we are shipping your item directly to the person receiving it as a gift, please let us know in the notes section of your order , what you would like written in the card. There is NO charge for
the gift card.

When you receive dog tags they are sealed with an enamel finish and waxed. If you have ordered a necklace or key ring they are waxed with a high quality museum wax. This will protect the metal for some time. Once they being to tarnish, you can easily clean them by dipping a rag into white vinegar, sprinkle w salt and rub! Shiny as new!

For aluminum & pewter that have gotten fine scratches over time, I use a polishing cloth and for deeper scratches I use fine steel wool and then polish.

For letters that have faded over time, you can use a fine tip Sharpie permanent marker, fill in the letters and simply wipe off any excess ink with rubbing alcohol! Letters will look like new again!

It is not possible to stamp on the back of tags. Since each letter is hammered individually using a metal letter bar and a hammer it leaves an impression on the reverse side therefore, it is not possible. I am glad to discuss adding information on an extra disc, or in the center of a tag or enlarging the disc to add information if possible. The paint used to darken the letters is an acrylic paint that is waterproof. It is then sealed with an enamel finish and waxed before shipping out. If you are ordering pet tags, it is advisable that you remove the tags before bathing because soap will break down the paint in the letter impressions. If in time, the letters fade, just use a black , fine tip, permanent Sharpie marker to fill in the letters. Use rubbing alcohol if you get ink outside of the letters.

If you have ordered PET ID TAGS, it is advisable to frequently check the split ring to ensure that it is not getting weak and splitting apart . If the ends get caught on a blanket or rug, the pet can get stuck and this is dangerous and frightening. An easy way to ensure that nothing snags on the end is to place silver electrical tape where the raw end is.

PLEASE REMOVE their collar or tags at night time or ANY TIME THE PET IS LEFT UNSUPERVISED! If you are gone all day at work, it is wise to remove the collar with the tags. If an animal swallows the tags they can be a choking hazard!

Do not allow small children to play with or remove the tags as they are a choking hazard if placed in their mouth.
