From My Attic to You
I've never really been that much into antiques or vintage. I thought they were interesting and had more story then modern day items. About 6 months ago, a friend who worked in an Antique Store contacted me about adding my handmade crochet items to the store. So I rented out a shelf, which after a couple months let to the two of us sharing a larger space, and now its actually doing well.
Not long after I started selling there, I started working a few days a month and here is where I started realizing how many people love vintage. I started seeing the most randomest things sell. People came into the store looking to add to their collection. A collection I had no idea anyone actually collected.
I ventured out with a couple of my childhood toys (beanie babies) and within a couple of days I had sold them! I couldn't believe it! So, now I've dug around my parents attic and we've pulled out many treasures and childhood toys. Now, I want to share them with you. I want you to be just as excited as we were when first given the object.
Just as we remember the past through these vintage knickknacks, so too we should remember Who is the Giver of Life. Our heavenly Father was before time was. He has made the world and brought life to it. He led his chosen people (the children of Israel, the Jews) through many things over the course of their generations, yet He always Was, He IS, and IS to Come. (Ps. 44:1 & Rev. 1:8)
