We are Incogneeto, a brick and mortar Vintage clothing store in Somerville, NJ with over 250,000 unique and individual one-of-a kind clothing pieces and accessories. The store is 1,800 square feet full of vintage! We are open everyday of the week from 11 am til 8 pm, Fri and Sat there are street activities and live music so we usually stay open until 10 pm. It's not unlikely that I make a sale at midnight!
History: Way back in the early 80's, I was collecting a huge selection of Vintage Clothing for myself to wear; Antique items and Collectible Jewelry, vintage shoes, Lucite and other interesting purses, designer hats and all the accessories I could find. In 1986, I opened
INCOGNEETO, at the US #1 Flea Market in New Brunswick, NJ (home of Rutgers University). With an excuse to shop, my collection grew! Within a few years, I had 3 stores including one in Somerville, NJ, one in New Hope, PA and a prestigious location on Nassau St. in Princeton, NJ.
Enter Etsy: When I discovered this fabulous online storefront, I found that I could reach customers from all over the world! I try to sell those items that are rare and hard to find. Whenever I feel bogged down with stuff, I will offer vintage in lots! I am famous for my fabulous vintage hat lots! Shoes are another item that I choose to regularly list. I strive for the classic and unique when shopping.
Since my stock is so large and varied, I remain open to listing suggestions. If you have something you collect and want to see if I have any, please don't hesitate to write me and inquire. I will do my best to get a little bit of everything online. I have a large mens collection that has been eluding me. With the help of my photographer and a good model, we will be listing those items next.

Accepted payment methods
Returns and exchanges
If a refund is warranted, items must be returned promptly (within 3 days of receiving) and in the same condition as sent - I absolutely do not refund shipping expense. That money went to the post office, not in my pocket so I don't have it to give you!
I understand that clothing is a difficult piece of merchandise to buy online since you cannot feel the fabric, smell the presence or lack of odors, and most importantly, you cannot try the garment on for proper fit. Sure, I carefully measure & note actual measurements of the items in my listings, but that doesn't always do it. I ask my customers to compare measurements to an item of their own that fits. I also carefully disclose condition... but sometimes I miss a seam, or a loose hem stitch. This is to be expected of vintage. These items are old. I do however reserve the right to handle any dispute individually & will work with you to resolve a problem should one occur.
Prompt communication is the key to a good online experience. If I don't hear from you, I will assume our business has concluded.

If you're not using Paypal or Etsy instant payment, please let me know what alternate form of remittance you'll be using and when I can expect it.
Payment is expected within 3 days of sale date. I will place the item on reserve for you for that amount of time. I realize there may be emergencies that crop up; so if for some reason the 3 day grace period can't work for you, please contact me so we can make other suitable arrangements.
I also offer layaway or installment purchases on a case by case basis; so please ask. Terms are 20% down with 30 days to pay. If you do not pay within 30 days, I will remove your reserve and open the listing to other buyers. At that point, you forfeit your deposit.
Tax is collected for sales in NJ. Paypal automatically adds it to every purchase, so if your item is a non taxable item, I will be sure to refund those monies.
Shipping
In most cases international buyers can expect delivery via USPS 1st class international airmail and domestic clients will receive priority mail shipping. First class or Standard Post may be used for some items domestically if it will save you money.

We love international buyers and will find the cheapest solution to get your purchases to you. Items are shipped US Postal Service First Class Insured. Please allow 6 - 8 weeks for your package to arrive.
Overseas customers are responsible for duties, taxes, and other fees incurred on packages. Madge has no control over the fees assessed by your home country.
EU buyers who purchase goods from outside the EU will be charged VAT by your Customs Agency if the total cost of the goods is over their VAT import threshold. Please check with your Customs Department for the amount of that threshold.
****UK BUYERS PLEASE READ THIS **** Customs duties will be charged to you for any items over £15. In addition you will be assessed a £8 handling charge by Royal Mail in addition to any customs fees. Packages are held until you pay the total fee. Payment may be made online.
I package responsibly so your purchase arrives safely & quickly; but if an item is accidentally damaged in transit, please convo me immediately.

Additional policies and FAQs
Condition: My vintage clothing, jewelry & accessories are vintage and therefore not brand new. Please expect some age wear to vintage. I disclose all damages that are obvious, but please ask questions if you have a concern.
Requests: If I have what you're looking for (and I have A LOT!), I'll list it so we can keep Etsy one of the best online buying sites around!
International: International customers should note that occasionally your purchase may incur VAT or customs charges. As a buyer, it's your responsibility to be familiar with and pay any assessed duties based on your country of delivery.
Discounts: I believe I have my items priced fairly for the market. I have been selling vintage since 1986 and know what the going prices are. I wouldn't have been able to stay in business this long if I was over priced, especially during the recession! Therefore, I consider my prices to be firm. Prices reflect the time it takes to list, salary to my photographer and models, fees on etsy and paypal. However, there have been times when I will accept a reasonable discount offer. After all, I have coupon codes available for repeat customers.
