This pitcher was by far my favorite purchase. I loved the rich colors and time that was put into this amazing piece.

About

Pottery, Functional Sculpture & Equine Art Inspired by the "Free Spirit" in us all...

With a lifelong passion for nature, animals, and the Arts, I wish to bring inspiration and creativity to life through my work. Each piece reflects a unique gift from the earth as I focus on the mystery of the sea, the power and freedom of the horse, the transformational beauty of the butterfly, and the divine guidance of a higher power. I love the movement and versatility of clay, and as it is transformed, I can feel each piece come alive in its uniqueness as it emerges into its new earth form.
Horses in particular are amazing creatures. They teach us so much about ourselves and show us a calm, gentle, yet powerful and majestic beauty that lives within us all. In the quiet space between human and animal, there is a connectivity that brings inner peace and healing. When we find ourselves within that sacred space, we begin to discover our truest and highest self. Through my artwork, my hope is to bring people closer to finding that connection; for when we do, we can change the reality of the world around and within us.

Additional policies and FAQs
"Made to order" items have a longer turn around due to many factors involved in the process. Clay is an interesting and amazing medium that takes a bit of patience...

Here's why:

~ Although I will start hand-making your order within a day or two, the creation process takes a bit of time due to the nature of clay and ceramics. Depending on the size and intricacies of your item, some pieces take longer to complete than others.

~ Once the piece are hand built, hand carved and sculpted, the clay needs to dry slowly (to avoid cracking) for a couple of days. This is important because if the clay has any moisture in it, it can explode in the kiln damaging the kiln walls and any other pottery around it. :(

~ Once all the clay is dried, the entire kiln is painstakingly loaded with work and it is bisque fired to Cone 06 which is 1830 degrees F/ 999 degrees C.(It takes several hours to reach those temperatures and then cool down again.)

~ Once the kiln cools, (another 24 hrs later) the entire kiln is emptied and then carefully each piece is sanded and lovingly hand-painted using non-toxic, lead free glazes.

~ Once glazed, the kiln is again loaded and fired a second time, but now to Cone 6 which is 2232* F / 1222*C. Holy Hot! ;)

~ Once the kiln cools, it is emptied and your angels will be carefully packaged and shipped priority mail to you or the recipient of your choice! YAY!!!

Wow! What a process! Well, the earth wasn't created in a day either, after all... hehehe.

Thank you for your patience and understanding... :)

So, the best thing to do is...Place your orders NOW so they can get there soon!!!

~ Christine
