Announcement   Welcome to my Found Object Junk Flower Shop. Here you can find one of kind found object flowers for your home, office, patio porch or garden. I offer complete flower arrangements with or without vase (which I make and sell in my other shop see below) as well as individual short and long stem flowers. I can cut flowers if you want them shorter and I am happy to put together a bouquet for you as well!

Please note: Some listings show several flowers in the 'main photo'. The listing description will tell you how many flowers you are getting or how many you can choose from. You can also see via my sidebar which flowers are individual vs. bouquets. Some of the stems while not flimsy, ARE bendable. I like to keep the flowers generally pretty straight so they ship more easily and you can 'shape' them when they arrive. I do curve them though and none are straight stalks. Keep in mind outdoor rebar flowers will need to go into the ground 4 or more inches and you can vary their height by sticking them more or less into the ground.

See a vase you like? I make them from Industrial Salvaged Pipes and sell them in my PaulaArt Shop: http://www.etsy.com/shop/PaulaArt click the Industrial Vase section on the left.

Need supplies to try to make your own flowers, clocks, mirrors, lamps or just decorate? I sell cool scrap metal finds in my 3rd shop Industrial Habitat: http://www.etsy.com/shop/Industrialhabitat

I have a main facebook fan page that include all 3 shops here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Paula-Art/113143238544

I bought flowers from Paula along with a vase from her companion site. I couldn't be more pleased! Shipping was speedy and everything was well packed. Paula answered my questions promptly and was very pleasant to work with. The flowers are a good size and seem very sturdy, and of course are so unique and fun! Highly recommended!

About

Self Taught Artist

I am a self taught full time artist who currently lives/works in Huntsville,Texas. I have been making art since 2004. Initially I began making wall art and was exhibiting in local Vermont Galleries. When I moved to Texas everything changed!

In Texas the materials available to me were different, soon my PaulaArt shop http://www.etsy.com/shop/PaulaArt was filled with utilitarian objects and so, when I started making flowers I opened this shop so it could be filled with found object flowers.

My days are spent looking for lost, tossed and abandoned objects. It always surprises me the things I find when I ride my bike or walk on the roads, peering into dumpsters or visiting the small recycle/scrap yard within the confines of town. The flowers I make are an expression of my delight and fascination with found objects, particularly the minutia that truly seems unusable and sometimes ugly. I love how they enliven my own loft! They are like little animals wafting odd personalities.

I hope to embark on other outdoor art objects such as wind chimes and even small critters. Feel free to ask if you are wanting something for your home or garden and think I might be able to make it for you :)

Frequently asked questions

Custom and personalized orders

I am happy to work with you on a flower arrangement. It can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months depending on how many flowers you want and how involved you want to be in the process.

Care instructions

My work is made from salvaged junk. Most of it is already rusty and shouldn't really be put outside unless you are prepared for more rust to develop (which many people don't mind) I varnish the stems and heads (but not always). If you notice rust you can always lightly sand and re-varnish via spray or brush. I don't advise keeping the flowers outside in harsh weather (winter/freezing/blazing hot etc) as that can destroy them over time both cosmetically and physically. If you want them to last for years and years I advise a covered porch/patio or indoors.
