About

"Gentlemen of the Press, Scoundrels of the Arts"

Half Hazard Press (H.H.P.) is a genuine underground, All American print & design studio dedicated to the craft of making unique & one-of-a-kind items. We believe in the simple merits of hard work, using your hands, & putting good out in the world. With a heavy arsenal of trade skills, we bring experience & moxie into our approach to making flatstock paper goods or paraphernalia & live by the gospel of concept & process.

––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

Despite common misconception, H.H.P. is a small, two-man operating design
studio based out of Bloomington, Illinois. The studio has been operating for about 3.5 years, and both artists are classically trained in illustration, graphic design, and a collective 10 years of traditional and screen printing experience. We offer branding, design, illustration, advertising and marketing layout, and even web design as all our general professional services. More commonly design for t- shirts, posters, and other misc. merchandise keeps us busy for bands, venues, promoters, and festivals. The studio also partners with local grass roots companies in IL such as a record store, local brewery, and the ever growing monster that is Summer Camp Music Festival. We have had the extreme privilege of working with brands like Ram Trucks, Jerry Garcia, Widespread Panic, Yonder Mountain String Band, Greensky Bluegrass, Manchester Orchestra, Ok Go, Taking Back Sunday, Styx, REO Speedwagon, Joan Jett, Heart, Eric Church, Brantley Gilbert, Jason Aldean, Alan Jackson, Garth Brooks, Buddy Guy and Robert Cray.

" Always Whole-Hearted, Never Half-Assed "

1/2 Hazard Press is an american underground print studio dedicated to crafting hand-made flat stock prints & posters. We are an accidental collective of illustrators, typographers, and printmakers, passionate about the process of print design and it’s translation to media. We’re rooted in the heart of the Midwest, amidst the seas of corn in Bloomington /Normal, and are eager to help enrich our local art and music community. With the ink on our hands and sweat off our brow, we’re working hard to add our name to the zeitgeist of amazing print studios and quality work across the nation.
