Indyspire Art - Handmade Keepsakes for Men and Women

Contemporary adornment for the body in sterling silver, copper, and reclaimed leather. Relaxed elegance for all-day wear.

My name is Amanda, and I am a lifelong maker. When I happened to come across "The Encyclopedia of Jewelry Making Techniques" at a bookstore many years ago, I knew it was something special. I studied the procedures, marveling at the many ways in which metal could be manipulated.

This book eventually led me to enroll in a beginning metalsmith course. A precious metal clay workshop soon followed. I was completely fascinated with metal work and inspired to pursue a creative career. Discovering Etsy around this same time led me to start my small business. Creating keepsakes for individuals around the globe is truly a dream come true!

I utilize classic metalsmith techniques and tools to create contemporary designs. The finishing touches are achieved through traditional patinas or heat patinas. This enhances the layers and industrial details of my work, resulting in jewelry with warmth and individuality.

A handful of interests which I am passionate about:
1) Animal Rescue and Adoption
2) Healthy Lifestyle
3) Music

I am grateful to support From the Heart Rescue, The American Heart Association, and Playing for Change Foundation with donations from sales of jewelry related to these subjects. Visit my shop, contact me through Etsy, or email indyspireart(at) if you would like more details.

My jewelry is thoughtfully handmade in Indiana. I strive to integrate reclaimed and upcycled materials into my work. Supplies are sourced from locally owned small businesses and through establishments that share my values.

Thank you for visiting!

About PMC jewelry
One of the materials I work with is precious metal clay (PMC), a clay-like substance consisting of very small particles of metal mixed with an organic binder and water. It can be shaped in the manner of any soft clay and then fired after drying. During the firing process, the binder burns away leaving only the pure metal. This results in silver metal clay objects that are 99.9% pure silver. The metal clay I work with contains recycled silver.

Caring for your jewelry
*Do not wear your jewelry in the ocean, a swimming pool, hot tub or while bathing.
*Apply makeup, hair spray, cologne and perfume before putting on your jewelry.
*Do not store in direct sunlight or next to a heating source.
*Sterling silver (92.5% silver) will tarnish over time. Clean with a jewelry polishing cloth to retain the shine or let it darken to give more character.
*Precious metal clay will tarnish much more slowly. Many of my pieces using PMC have been given a patina. You may use a jewelry polishing cloth on them, however this may alter the patina.
*Disinfect ear wires before wearing new earrings.
*Copper may be cleaned with a soft jewelry polishing cloth, however it will oxidize over time.
*Keep all leather and suede dry.
*Remove before exercising, participating in sports, engaging in physical activities.
