Announcement   2/18/13 - Hello fellow eco fabulous fabric friends! I'd like to update you on my life as of late. I've recently gotten my horse boarding barn up and running (currently, there are 20+ horses here under my care!) which means I have another full time job, lol! This also means that my fabric shop is going to be taking somewhat of a back seat for the next few months to a year. I will still keep my shop open and orders will still go out in a timely manner, but now that I am managing the barn full time, I will probably not be able to answer emails as quickly as before. It may take me a couple extra days! I will also be shipping orders only on Tuesday and Friday. If you need something a little quicker, PLEASE SEND ME A CONVERSATION BEFORE YOU ORDER about it and I'll let you know if I can get it out a little quicker. I may be able to but I also may not be able to that week. It will just depend on how busy I am with the barn that week. My dream of being a barn manager and working with horses has come true and I have my loyal ICHemp fans to thank for it! With the money made from fabric sales, my husband and I were able to afford our new property out in the country. It truly is a dream come true! THANK YOU ALL for your support over the years!!

Welcome to my Eco friendly fabric shop, friends! I'm Marlena from Infinite Cosmos Glass ( http://infinitecosmosgirl.etsy.com ). All fabrics come from a smoke free, pet friendly (though the area where the fabric is stored is pet free!) home. ♥
♥ ***IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO ORDER MULTIPLE ITEMS, PLEASE SEND ME A CONVO LETTING ME KNOW WHAT YOU WOULD LIKE!** This will save you heaps on shipping, as I will be able to weigh it and calculate based on your zip code. If you have any other questions, please convo me!
Although most items are shipped in priority mail boxes and envelopes and polymailers, the environmentalist in me feels the need to reuse other, non traditional materials for shipping. Don't worry though! Your order will arrive clean and in sturdy packaging!!
Please check out my other shops! infinitecosmosgirl.etsy.com and icnaughtyglass.etsy.com

Hi! I'm Marlena and I am obsessed with hemp and eco fabulous fabrics :-) I'm so happy to be able to supply them for all my fellow stitchin' friends out there! If you have any suggestions for fabrics you'd like to see in my shop, please don't hesitate to contact me and let me know. I'm always looking for an excuse to buy more fabric!

Accepted payment methods

  • Pay with Visa
  • Pay with Master Card
  • Pay with American Express
  • Pay with Discover
  • Pay with PayPal
Payment
I currently only accept Paypal as payment right now. Payment is due within 24 hours of purchase. If payment is not received within that time, your order will be canceled and the item will be relisted in my shop. If you need more time to pay, please wait to purchase the item and contact me to put the item(s) on hold for you. I can hold the fabric for you for one week.
Shipping
I usually ship Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. But life being, well....LIFE (lol!) I sometimes only make it to the post office twice a week. Though on very busy weeks, I may go 4 or 5 times! But a normal week will be M-W-F.
International buyers: I mark the package as "other", not as gift (please don't ask :-) it's illegal to lie on customs forms!!) and I claim the value to be what the price was for the total price of your order minus shipping costs. Buyer is responsible for all custom fees/duties/taxes or whatever they usually make you pay in your country when you order something from the US :)
For international orders, please allow up to 4 weeks for delivery (you never know with customs!).
Insurance is available upon request. Just let me know your paypal email address and I will invoice you for the cost.
Also, as stated in my shop announcement, I am an avid greenie eco freak and I need to recycle!! Although most items are sent in priority flat rate boxes or envelopes, I use non traditional packaging from time to time (usually for the larger orders) and reuse boxes, envelopes, and polymailers so don't be surprised if your order comes to you in a (CLEAN!!!) wood pellets bag (they're super sturdy and I just can't bring myself to throw away such a big piece of plastic!!) or a box that was sent to me from something I ordered from another lovely Etsy seller :)
Refunds and Exchanges
You can return your item to receive a refund minus a 10% restocking fee. Refunds/exchanges will not be accepted if the fabric smells of smoke or if it has been washed. It must be returned in the exact same state it was sent. Refunds/exchanges will only be accepted within 10 days of purchase for US orders, 25 days of purchase for international orders.
I refund the shipping that the buyer has paid, not the actual cost of shipping (many times, I end up paying a little extra to ship a package).
Additional policies and FAQs
WHOLESALE/ Large Orders: My business is mostly set up to deal with orders of about 50 yards or less. It is VERY small scale, unlike larger fabric companies. I don't have a warehouse full of fabric, I don't have employees helping me deal with the orders and I don't have big, huge cutting tables or machines to help me roll out the fabric onto bolts. It's all me, so to speak! lol! But I do work hard to fill larger orders if I have enough of the fabric in stock. Dealing with cuts of fabric larger than about 15 yards is really a challenge for me. I like to deal with cuts around 10-15 yards at the most for this reason. But there are certain fabrics that can be rolled into rolls of about 25 yards (for example the hemp/bamboo jersey). The ones that are in a tube shape are easier for doing something like that. The ones that are in a columnar form (like all the wovens and a lot of the other knits) can't be rolled onto bolts because I wouldn't be able to roll it tight enough onto one, and also I think it's better to send it folded in a box anyways because it's usually exponentially cheaper that way. The post office and UPS hate non-box shapes!
I *have* filled 100 yard orders before but usually don't do it because in the end it just ends up being very overwhelming. I try and keep my prices super low to begin with and when I am asked to drop the price per yard even lower, it just doesn't really add up in the end :/ But I do come down on my prices a little bit for orders larger than 25 yards. It all depends on what fabric you'd like and if I have a large stock of it. So if you'd like a large order, send me an email or conversation through etsy and we can discuss it further :)
In terms of continual availability of certain fabrics: Let's say you are a designer and you see a fabric in my shop that you would like to start a line of clothing with. You'd like to order a large order now and then continue to purchase large orders of the fabric from my shop in the future. Well here is the thing about my shop: I often get feedback from customers about certain fabrics they'd like to see me carry if my shop and then I go out and look into it with my suppliers. If I can find the fabric at a good price and know that it will sell well in my shop, I'll order a bunch of it and see how it goes. If it isn't a good seller, I won't reorder it. If it is a good seller, I'll look into purchasing it again when I'm running low. But the price of fabric for ME to buy changes all the time depending on the price of cotton, the value of the US dollar, etc. If the good selling fabric is much too expensive when I look into reordering it, I usually won't purchase it because that would mean I'd have to mark up my price to the point where I don't think my customers would want to pay it or I won't be competitive enough with the bigger companies selling similar fabrics. So if you are a designer looking to purchase from me for a line of clothing, please keep this in mind. If there is a fabric you order from me once and want to continue to buy it from me, I can't always guarantee that I'll have the same fabric in my shop six months or a year from when you first purchase it. But what you CAN expect from my shop is that I will always order new and exciting fabrics and it won't be the "same ol' same ol" all the time ;-) I like to switch things up and try new things. And I am ALWAYS open to new ideas, so if you have a fabric in mind that you'd like to buy at some point, let me know! I'll look into it!
