This is a difficult time for us all and I myself have experienced very close covid bereavement so my heart goes out to all of you currently affected. My art is related to and inspired by my work/vocation as a Ma'at Sekhem energy healer. This simply means 'The Power of the Light of Truth' - concerned with the Awakening of Consciousness & connecting to the Essence or Higher Soul Self. I have been guided to channel & develop in this area for many years.
The God-Goddess work is to form a set of Oracle cards and there are many other projects in development also such as Plant Medicine Spirits. I am a self-taught painter & also take commissions most often for logos/design projects.

Mental health advocate turned artist-healer
My art/design is all about disseminating messages of Hope, Truth, Love. The 1st half of my life was survival of trauma during which I maintained & strengthened my connection to that which I came to understand as the 'spiritual'. When I was around 12 I had my first thought about 'healing through the hands' & at age 16 I had my first enlightenment/'rapture'/oneness experience via Jesus. My jounery was always away from religion or any group at all, & it took me back into Gnostism and my ancestral heritage (India/the Pacific Islands/Europe, in this lifetime). From around 3 years old I began to speak to 'God' directly to try to make sense of the seemingly senseless pain & suffering of life.
In the late 90s - 2010, I began to work in mental health, including dementia, largely motivated by negative experiences of the system by my family. I had a rescuer mentality for many years and typically self neglected until chronic illness created the necessary pathway out of formal employment, as is often the case for many of us.
I was informed by guides that I was working with the energies of Ma'at Sekhem in 2009. I have since become close to the realms of these Gods/Goddesses as well as Bodhisattvas such as Kwan Yin (Guan Shi Yin/Avolokiteshvara) and many others.
Fundamentally my healing & art is concerned with the Awakening of Humanity to the Truth of life, what it is to become Fully Human & our place in this Universe.
I work primarily in oil or acrylic (in the case of some mandalas/design) on canvas/canvas board. I also draw with pen, pencil, watercolour/ink in the case of design/illustration. All prints are made by me using canvas textured paper for a lovely but affordable high quality finish.
The pendants I make to order. Each one comes with a gold toned gauze drawstring bag and a mini print featuring the names/titles & main attributes. The images of the god-goddesses are to form a set of Oracle cards & book relating to this work.
