A lot of the work we do is on commission, so if you see something in our shop that you would like in a different color, a different metal, a different size, etc. just let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate you. We have a fairly large cabochon collection on hand, so most commission work can be completed quickly. We would also love to make unique pieces for you if you have a particular favorite stone or birthstone you would like to have set.

About

We make splendid wire wrapped jewelry!

I have always had a passion for working with metal. In fact, if you were to go back and see 5 year old me, you would most likely find her in the basement in daddy's electronics workshop... playing with pliers. The long slender needle nosed mommy pliers, big red daddy pliers, little diagonal cutter baby pliers, and, of course, the evil scourge of plier town: the nasty wire strippers. I found a few different ways to indulge my metalworking cravings. First, in high school, I took four years of real metalworking with a talented jeweler in the area. There I learned about soldering and casting and a variety of fun jeweling techniques. I then went to college and worked in electrical engineering where I could at least put my soldering skills to good use. When I got out of college, I found myself with the time to pursue jewelry more intensely, but not the space or money for large equipment, so that's how I found my way into wire working. And oh how I've fallen in love with it. It is so simple and yet so complex. No chemicals or glues or solders, just stone and wire, yet there is a definite art in holding the stone into a setting of simply wire.

My boyfriend saw me playing with wire art early on and thought it looked like fun, so he began to design pieces along side me. As it turns out, he has an incredibly beautiful modern style that offsets my more traditionally elegant style extremely well. It was really by his inspiration that we began to sell our work. Since then, we have learned more than we could have imagined about the plethora of naturally gorgeous stones out there, and we have gone in search of unique, hand-cut cabochons to add to our collection. Part of the beauty and fun of this craft is that no two pieces are ever completely alike, and we will continue to strive to make jewelry that is unique and (hopefully) pleasant to look at!

I only found jewelry after school, but that hasn't slowed me down. I've taken a few evening classes to learn different techniques, and spent hours in the company of stones. Wire offers a simple, elegant way to frame the beauty of semiprecious stones.
