Announcement   This is the home of handmade wooden and glass-wares made by Steven M.S Godon. Steven is now accepting orders for custom Bows. www.insideoutwood.ca to view Bow options!

All bowls, plates and vases are food-safe and finished with natural organic oils. We go through great lengths to ensure that all wood used is harvested sustainably and most is logging refuse or passed on from other woodworkers or artists. Each art piece is handmade, hand carved or hand painted by us. Our creations are high quality, unique, one of a kind art pieces that are perfected to the last detail.

All wood turned items are done so with the environment in mind. Low wattage lathes are used and emphasis is on using waste woods and blow down wood. All waste from making each product (ie wood chips etc) are subsequently composted on sight where the piece originated (where possible, in the case of exotic woods the waste is composted locally). All turned items are 100% organic and 100% biodegradable. Bowls are also turned in such a way that little wood is wasted. Bowls are cut in "nested" sets wherever possible minimising the amount of waste wood using coring techniques.

We use 90% domestic wood and 85% of that is grown in Ontario in an effort to use as much local wood as possible. We do purchase exotic wood but make sure to purchase it through small local wood dealers.

All of our tools are purchased locally and Canadian Made where possible and purchased In Thunder Bay Ontario.

Great bowl. I didn't realize seller was from Canada (not that there's anything wrong with that, some of my best friends are Canadian, I dated a Canadian in high school, we're all North American Scum according to James Murphy, etc.) which makes reception of shipped items more difficult for those in the US since USPS will require a signature.

Absolutely beautiful piece! It looks exactly like the picture and it's everything I wanted/expected! n nI also like the eco-friendly packaging! I think I will use the filler as a craft supply :)

Comming Soon! Stay tuned this march as Steven Godon takes his bobby and makes it into a full time business. He has dreamed of starting his own business and calling it Inside Out Studio and this march it will become a reality!

Each piece featured is a one of a kind, and takes hours to complete. Wood turning is done on a lathe and takes years of practice to develop the skills necessary to create the beautiful pieces you see.

All wood turned items are done so with the environment in mind. Low wattage lathes are used and emphasis is on using waste woods and blow down wood. We also use recycled wood such as old oak flooring etc. All waste from making each product (ie wood chips etc) are subsequently composted on sight where the piece originated (where possible, in the case of exotic woods the waste is composted locally). All turned items are 100% organic and 100% biodegradable. Bowls are also turned in such a way that little wood is wasted. Bowls are cut in "nested" sets wherever possible minimizing the amount of waste wood.

All pieces are green friendly, meaning the electricity used is offset by solar or wind energy.

No toxins are used on any of the pieces (unless otherwise specified) and all pieces are food safe. They are finished with either natural linseed oil, natural bees wax or a blend of other organic oils such as shea nut, grape seed, avocado, walnut or hemp seed oil.
