They're beautiful. Perfect length, comfortable weight, and wonderful to the touch. They came very carefully packaged, arrived quickly, and were heralded by a warm confirmation message from the seller. I'm very pleased and will be visiting this shop again.

About

Intelligence with Color and Creativity Breaking Through

Hello! Welcome to Intealect!

Intealect is a unique jewelry concept located in Florida. Intealect is the balance between my artistic side with insight from my background as a scholar. Every piece of jewelry tells the story of a person or place around the world who put the same love and care into the components that I have chosen for each of my unique, handcrafted jewelry.

THE DESIGN PROCESS:
I begin each piece with the beads and listen to what they are saying to me, which explains why I often work with natural stones with many years of history. Then, I determine which style of metal the selected beads require. Next, the setting for the stones is carefully designed by fabricating the necessary parts and making component selections from my existing stock. After the setting has been created, I select and add the accent beads to carry colors through the piece. The pieces are then fitted with their ear wires or clasps. Finally, the completed piece is polished and photographed.

INTEALECT STYLE:
A combination of different media, materials, textures, and colors are an excellent showcase of my eclectic style. I enjoy experimenting with my designs to find new and fun combinations that will become a treasure for their next owner. With so many colors and patterns, the jaspers are my favorite.

VALUE:
I try to create a perfect balance of quality and value with each piece while using the best materials possible. I work hard to source materials at the best value so that I can offer both quality and value to my customers.

MATERIALS:

I purchase beads from all over the world. Every lampwork bead is purchased from an SRA (self-representing artist) beadmaker. Most pieces are made of precious metals and solid copper with occasional substitutions of plated metal to ensure certain items are affordable. Many of the metal components are handmade, some by me, some by other artists.

WHAT’S NEXT?

Intealect will soon be launching a new line of accessories made from upcycled, authentic Indian saris. These beautiful fabrics are fluid and so colorful that they deserve a second life. The saris are prepared and refreshed for your enjoyment through a careful process that involves extended soaking and washing in hypoallergenic cleansing solutions, ultimately restoring the gorgeous fabric to like-new freshness.

Once the saris are refreshed and ready for recreation, they will be used in a variety of gorgeous, new jewelry items to include braided and crocheted bracelets, necklaces, and drawstring bags as well as fashion accessories like infinity scarves, evening wraps, and shrugs.

When working on an earring design time just stops. That's my zone where color and creativity crash through the intellect and release pure joy--Intealect. I'm inspired by my Old Florida streets with bougainvillea, frangipani, star fruit, & hibiscus.

Frequently asked questions

Are your items handmade?

Thanks for stopping by! Everything in Intealect is handmade by me with materials sourced from around the world. If you have any questions, please send me a message through Etsy. Happy shopping!!

Is sales tax collected on my order?

For Florida customers only. I will collect 7% sales tax at the time of purchase since that is the most common rate across the state. If your county has a lower tax rate I will refund the difference before your order is shipped.

What are the details of your shipping policies?

All orders ship through USPS First Class, within 2 business days of receipt of payment for in-stock items. Made-to-order items will take longer. See individual items for details.

Shipping is free within the U.S. and at a rate reduced to below my cost to many locations around the world. I insure orders all orders at my own expense.

I will contact you after my post office trip so you'll know as soon as your purchase is on its way! USPS First Class generally takes about a week on the outside to the States and maybe a few extra days internationally. Please allow at least a week from the day I send you your shipping confirmation before you start to get nervous. I know it's hard to wait!

What are the details of your shipping policies for non-U.S. customers?

Delivery confirmation is not available to all countries without an upgrade to insured and registered shipping. I'd be more than happy to set this up for you if you'd prefer. Send me a message through Etsy before completing your purchase so I can adjust the shipping rate.

Delays in customs offices are common and unpredictable. Intealect is not responsible for delays due to time the package takes to clear customs. Additionally, Intealect is not responsible for customs fees, taxes or duties that may be due upon arrival in your country.

What if my package or one of the items in it is damaged when I receive it?

My ultimate goal is for you to be happy with your purchase. I love the items I create, and I know you will too. If there is obviously a problem with an item you receive, then please contact me right away through Etsy! I take great care in making sure what I ship out is packed carefully and securely, but accidents happen. Let me know what's wrong and I will work to make it right. Photos are helpful. Take a quick pic and send it to me with your message through Etsy.

If we agree that a return and refund are in order, I will process the refund, minus shipping charges, as soon as the item is returned. The piece must be in its original packaging.

Do you take custom orders?

I'd love to talk to you about your design ideas and make a custom piece of jewelry for you. The creative process is fun and my custom design clients are always excited to see their results. If you have something in mind, but don't see it here in my shop, send me a message on Etsy and we can cook something up together!

Custom work requires full payment for the custom listing before work can begin on the piece.
