Interior Castle
Having grown up as somewhat of a tomboy, it was not until I was in college when I got into knitting. My mother drove an hour to my small college town and we took a knitting class together making a baby blanket for my first nephew. To my surprise, I loved it and never stopped knitting!
As the years went on, I continued to do more homemaking projects with my Mom and thoroughly enjoyed it - in fact, it was quite addicting. Several years ago, I lost my Mom to cancer - she continues to be my main inspiration! She was getting into quilting which I thought was a bit frumpy and old fashion. Well, she had very good taste and when she left beautiful fabric behind - I was determined to use it. I immediately took a quilting class to learn some basics. And since then, I have been fascinated with beautiful fabric and fallen in love with quilting.
Some of my other hobbies include playing soccer, gardening, reading, and cooking. With my four little children under the age of 6 (and one on the way in a couple months!), I find that making items to put in this little etsy shop is a wonderful creative outlet that I thoroughly enjoy.
I named the shop after a book written by St. Teresa of Avila and she is a great inspiration!
