The Story Behind the Scar: Roux-En-Y Resin Guy
Most artists talk about their "inner vision." I talk about my inner anatomy.
My name is the Roux-En-Y Resin Guy, and Internal Reroute Resin isn't just a business name—it’s a lifestyle. This shop was born in the wake of my gastric bypass surgery. When you go through a reroute that significant, you start seeing the world differently. You realize that sometimes you have to break things down and put them back together in a way that actually works.
Why Internal Reroute?
The name is a nod to the literal "internal rerouting" of my body. Gastric bypass is about survival, change, and the discipline of a new reality. My art follows that same path. I work with custom resins to create pieces that feel visceral, organic, and a little bit intense.
The Aesthetic: Bypassed but Better
I don't do "pretty" in the traditional sense. I do quality. As my motto says: “Bypassed my stomach, not quality.” Every piece I create is a celebration of the "detour." Whether it's the deep, blood-red hues or the way the resin flows like something living, my work is inspired by:
The Bypass: Finding beauty in the surgical and the systematic.
The Recovery: Resin cures faster than most people heal, but the results last a lifetime.
The Staring: My work is designed to be a conversation starter—or a conversation stopper.
Handcrafted Grit
Everything you see here is handmade with the same precision it took to get me through my own transformation. I’m not just pouring plastic; I’m pouring a piece of my own story into every mold.
Thanks for supporting a maker who’s been through the ringer and come out the other side with a clearer vision and a hell of a lot of resin.
Welcome to the Reroute.
