In the Daylight is a boutique stationery range co-created by husband and wife team in Brisbane, Australia. Featuring the illustrations of Jess and the support of Rick and their two Samoyeds Riley and Ebony, the collection celebrates the beauty of common objects.

The range features original hand illustrated designs and beautifully crafted lettering inspired by the simplicity and uniqueness of everyday items.

Jess' illustrations and typography combine to tell a story that sparks the imagination and delights the receiver. Innocent and refreshing, In the Daylight creates a world that is easy to lose yourself in.

All of our paper goods are proudly printed in Australia and are assembled by hand in our studio so that we maintain complete customer satisfaction.

Welcome to In the Daylight! Thank you for shopping with. We specialise in finely crafted cards and other paper goods.


I accept payments though Paypal and Direct Checkout. Please make an effort to pay immediately, or contact us if you're having a problem with PayPal. If you place an order without payment, we have to pay Etsy fees for something that didn't sell.

We'll do everything we can, but if payment hasn't gone through in 3 days, we reserve the right to cancel your order. Of course, if you've contacted us we will be happy to work with you.


We ship all packages via Australian Post within 1-3 business days of purchase.
Most packages take 1-5 days to arrive.
Packages are not insured and do not have tracking numbers unless you request that before or right away after purchase.

PLEASE make sure you have the same address in Etsy and in PayPal. We will always default to the PayPal address, and can't be responsible if that is not correct. In this case orders will only be resent at the customer's expense.

Most packages are shipped the most economic way, usually via First-Class sea mail. I DO NOT do express shipping for international orders. Some packages can incur custom fees which is the responsibility of the customer and can take awhile to get delivered.

Shipping times are estimates only, unfortunately packages may occasionally be delayed in transit, especially during holidays or if the postal service is experiencing high volumes.

Refunds and Exchanges

Returns should be made within 7 days of when the purchase is received (please contact me first). Shipping cost to return the item is the responsibility of the buyer and refund of the purchase price less any shipping will be made promptly via PayPal once the item has been received by me.

If your item has arrived damaged, please notify me immediately. In most cases a full refund or replacement will be issued -- I want all customers to be happy! :)

Refunds are processed after we receive the item in it's original condition. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact us before buying.
