I grew up in a lovely city called Cordoba, in Spain. My story has not been different from that of many other children who with their creative and expressive force decide to be a different character every day. My favorite character came to the scene disguised as a sorceress with a magic wand, my brush, and with that nature and innocence characteristic of my 9 years I dedicated myself to appear and create objects not known to anyone in the world. With the passage of time, that wand was forever kept and I became convinced that magic was only for children.
As an adult I decided to dress up again, but this time I decided to disguise myself as courage, to leave my home to make another one in Germany, a country so different from mine that invited me to meet again with that artist that I always carried inside, recovering that magic wand of my childhood. 5 years ago, encouraged by a good illustrator friend, I immersed myself in the world of watercolor. That world that I visit every day and from which I do not want to leave. There I can be me, true to who I am, honoring my creative and dreaming spirit. In that little world, I discovered that magic has no age and that it exists in every person who allows himself to be who he is and is shared from the heart. With my artistic creations as I like to call them, I share that, my heart and a piece of who I am.
The main theme of my compositions is botanical illustration characterized by a delicate and cheerful style, always in connection with nature. The watercolor technique accompanies most of my illustrations mixed with other elements, including lettering.
This creative process took its first steps with the realization of personalized commissions, and over the last 2 years I have also been able to share my artistic knowledge through watercolor courses with adults. I wanted to capture my illustrations in different products of daily use, so my works can be found in sheets, mugs, t-shirts or cotton bags, among others.
I grew up in the charming city of Cordoba, in Spain. My story is not that different from many other children that use their creativity and expression to become a different character every day. My favourite character to be was sorceress who would arrive on stage with a magic wand - my paintbrush. With the innocence and intuitiveness of my nine-year-old self I would devote my time to creating and conjuring up objects unknown to this world. As time passed by, I convinced myself magic was only for children and I lost my wand for what seemed like forever.
As a grown up I decided to become a new character, but this time with courage. Leaving my life in Spain and building a new one in Germany, a country so different from my own. This pushed me to rediscover the artist I always had within me and in turn be reunited with the magic wand I thought was lost forever – my paintbrush.
Five years ago, encouraged by a close friend of mine who is an illustrator, I immersed myself into the world watercolors. A world that I visit everyday which I never want to leave. Somewhere which I can be myself, true to who I am, honoring my dreams and creativity. In this little world I discovered magic has no age limit, it exists in every single person who allows it to and it is shared from the heart. In all my artistic creations as I like to call them, I share this; my heart and a little piece of who I am.
The main theme of my pieces are botanical illustrations with a delicate but cheerful style, always connected to nature. Watercolours are prominent throughout my illustrations amongst other techniques including calligraphy. This creative process began with a few personalised orders. My designs are now available on a variety of different household items including bedding, t-shirts, mugs and tote bags to name but a few. For the past two years, I have also been sharing my art by teaching watercolour classes to adults.
