Irish Hooks & Yarn now has sales in ALL 50 states, Canada, Ireland, United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Belgium, France, Italy, Austria, South Africa, Brazil and Japan!

Popular items in the shop include crocheted ice hockey skates, figure skates, soccer cleats and hats of all kinds. Custom requests are welcome as well … if it can be crocheted, I can make it!

Irish Hooks & Yarn will be featuring a wider variety of yarns too! With the acrylic yarn, you still get a wide choice of colors and great durability – especially for little ones. New items will be featured in cotton yarn and my new favorite yarn is milled right here in PA by Kraemer Yarns!

Most items are made when ordered and may take two weeks depending on the item and the volume of orders I have had. Packages are sent using the USPS via first class mail that usually takes 2 to 4 days in the US and about 7 to 10 days internationally. SHIPPING IN THE US IS FREE!!!!!! International shipping rates are available too!

Irish Hooks & Yarn hand-crocheted items are made in a smoke-free environment. Sizing follows the Standards & Guidelines for Knitting and Crocheting (www.yarnstandards.com). Information on the type of yarn and washing instructions will be included with the description of each item for sale.

Irish Hooks & Yarn ... creating crocheted memories!

Irish Hooks & Yarn is the realization of a dream to hand-crochet items that will be special to the giver and the receiver of the item. My passion for crocheting began after my first daughter was born. My mother taught me the basics and before long I had mastered some of the fine points. It’s wonderful to now be able to showcase my hand-crocheted items on Etsy.

Irish Hooks & Yarn offers a variety of hand-crochet items, but the raglan sweater for children is favorite that I starting making more than 30 years ago. My children, nieces and nephews called these “Name Sweaters” as their names were crossed stitched on the pocket of the crocheted hoodie.

Today, the “Name Sweater” may be a misnomer as it is usually personalized with the child’s initials, favorite college colors and name, or the most popular version, the Paddy Green and Aran sweater with IRISH!

Thanks to a number of hockey fans, the Hockey Skate booties are now the most popular item in the Irish Hooks & Yarn shop. The design is my own and the skates keep this retired Hockey Mom very busy!

After the hockey skates, the Donegal Cap is the second most popular choice of Etsy buyers ... both the pattern and the hand-crocheted cap. The name for the Donegal Cap traces my family roots back to Ireland and is a perfect match for Irish Hooks & Yarn!

Shipping
Items purchased from Irish Hooks & Yarn are usually shipped within two to three weeks via first-class (excluding special orders). Since each order is hand-crocheted after it is ordered so during busy times orders may take longer. Customers will be given an approximate mailing date at the time of purchase.

PDF patterns purchased will be sent to the email address in your Etsy account within 24 hours of your purchase. Please check your spam file to be sure the email does not end up there. If you have not received the pattern within 24 hours, please convo me!

Order early for Christmas and St. Patrick's Day ... once the rush is on both crocheting time and mailing time can increase!
