About

Impasto paintings created in my studio in a small Arkansas town.

A portion of the second floor of our 113 year old home is home to my studio. The walls of my studio are lined with "drying" paintings. My colors have always been bright and the more I painted the the more impasto texture I added. A palette knife is used to create the depth. Impasto is a term used to describe thickly layered paint that is three-dimensional in appearance. You could almost say impasto is sculpture on a canvas.
The cat in my shop pictures is my studio cat Lucy. She arrived at our house with an amazing surprise... 6 tiny kittens. The kittens have found new homes. Lucy stayed with us and always keeps me company while I paint.

"I have 4 images of each painting. These images will help you see the entire painting before you purchase."

    Artist, Owner

Art has always been my passion! Until a few years ago my art was just for myself and my friends. I joined a local coop and began to sell my paintings 7 years ago. I love spending days in my home studio painting!

Frequently asked questions

Custom and personalized orders

Sorry, I do not paint commissions.

Care instructions

Please handle carefully. All paintings are dry to the touch when shipped, but may remain soft for a few weeks. Avoid hanging in direct sunlight. A feather duster may be used to clean and the painting may be refreshed with any spray varnish suitable for oil paints.
Store in a cool dry space, do not stack.

Sizing details

My paintings are 6x6 inches, 8x8 inches, 10x10 inches and 12x12 inches. They are painted on gallery wrapped canvas, no staples on the edges.
The paintings have two different edge widths; wide- 1 inch, very wide - 2 3/8 inches The edge width is listed in the description and can be seen in the additional photos.
The edges are painted with water based paint and may be easily be changed to match your decor.

Do you ship internationally?

I no longer ship internationally. Tracking is not available once the package leaves the US. There were often extremely long delivery times. If a package did not arrive I would refund which was expensive. I am sad to discontinue. It was fun to imagine my paintings all over the world.

Who pays shipping on a return?

I want you to be happy. I gladly accept returns and will pay return shipping. If there is any problem at all contact me right away.

Why do you have images from all angles?

I have at least 4 images of each painting. These images will help you see the entire painting before you purchase and also details. The images are taken in indirect natural light to provide the best representation of the colors.
