About

Isabel Jewelry: Where the West Coast crashes into the Wild West

Natural jade, sky blue turquoise, sparkling crystals, hammered metal...mix it all together and you have me: West Coast + Wild West. I spent many of my formative years in the San Francisco Bay Area and Oregon and found my way to a small Wyoming town in 2003 where I have grown roots. When I came out here I figured I would stay a year or two but things happen. Good things happened.

I first started metalsmithing when I was going to college in Eugene, Oregon. Since then...about two decades later...I have become a fully formed silversmith and own a bricks and mortar store in Pinedale, Wyoming. I work on jewelry every single workday and have honed my skill to a place that brings me pride. I guarantee absolute quality for life on all of my jewelry. Each stone is set with care; each hammered piece is hammered by me; and now I am cutting stones, especially the beautiful jade found in Wyoming.

As much as possible I spend time in outdoors. My husband and I backpack in the summer and cross country ski during the long winter. In the summer I like to jump in our mountain lakes or lie in the hammock on our porch. In the deep dark winter I enjoy that I can walk home under the Milky Way.

Besides jewelry making, I paint, draw and sculpt. Recently I have been working on a lot of crystal inspired paintings and sculptures. Creating large sculptures is newer to me and my years of creating small sculptural jewelry helps; I recently installed a public sculpture on Pinedale's main street, you can visit my personal artist website for photos www.isabelrucker.com.

I have sold on my jewelry website: www.isabeljewelry.com for over a decade and recently thought I would like to reach a wider audience on etsy. I hope that you treat yourself or a loved one with one of my pieces, they are all beautifully made and built for life by my hands. Thank you for shopping today!
