About

Handmade items from my heart to yours!

When I receive your garments, I take them apart to begin the processes. The garments are cut into strips or patches and then sewn into a little "quilt". Depending on the fabric additional stabilizing may be needed. Neckties are make from silk or fine polyester fabrics and are cut on the bias. This makes them especially unstable and more difficult to work with so extra care is taken to stabilize the fabric. I sew the Necktie strips on to a backing fabric (usually muslin) to create my "quilt". Then the animal pattern is cut out. I attempt to highlight the color, design or portions of the garments that are most meaningful to you. Embroidery is added for that special touch on each memory item. When your custom order is created we "convo" each other to discuss the design detail to make this an item you will love and treasure for a lifetime. I love creating these special critters for you and I want them to be something you will love and treasure forever!
