I Told Her "No"

My dear friend had been trying to convince me to try beading with her, and I kept telling her "No, I already have too many hobbies". She finally showed up one day with beads in tow and sat me down to show me the ropes. Well, it took making only 1 bracelet for me to be hooked! I had now discovered a new passion!!!

During the next two years, I continued to learn new skills, buy new beads and began designing for friends and family. Another dear friend was already in the jewelry design business and invited me to bring some of my items to her show. I cannot describe the amazing feeling I had when someone I didn't know purchased one of my pieces!

In 2007, I discovered Precious Metal Clay and began researching this medium to add to my ever-growing inventory of designs. "Merry Christmas to me" was my very first kiln and I couldn't wait to get started. I bought book after book, researched the internet and began my foray into metal clay. I have taken numerous classes and work daily to hone my skills. There are always new techniques to learn and I truly love everything this medium has to offer.

My inspiration comes from Mother Nature, my beautiful home state of Colorado, my many travels to the Caribbean, and simple, yet elegant fashion that can be worn every day or formal occasions. I love making jewelry and am so honored each time someone wears one of my designs. It is extremely important to me that each element of the design is made with high quality materials and that the craftmanship is of high quality. With this in mind, each piece is handmade and it is important to understand that because every piece is handmade, it is unique and may vary slightly from the photograph you see.

Customer service is extremely important to me and I encourage you to contact me should you ever have any questions or concerns.

All of my finished pieces ship in a gift box. Supplies (pendants, etc.) will be shipped in a protective envelope, but can be shipped in a gift box for a nominal fee (convo me before placing your order, please).

Returns and exchanges

The following items can't be returned or exchanged
Because of the nature of these items, unless they arrive damaged or defective, I can't accept returns for:
  • Custom or personalized orders
  • Perishable products (like food or flowers)
  • Digital downloads
  • Intimate items (for health/hygiene reasons)
My policy is to sell only quality products to my customers and to advertise each item honestly. I strive to make each customer happy and will try to resolve any issues that may arise. My specific refund policies are as follows:

I will happily refund any damaged items upon return receipt of the item within 15 days of purchase. Or, you may choose to have the item replaced with a "like type" item. Once again, I must receive the damaged item first.

If the item you received does not meet your expectations, please contact me within 15 days with an explanation and your refund will be reviewed.

Custom order refunds will be reviewed on an individual basis.

If you order a product made using base metals (i.e., copper, bronze, gold bronze, rose bronze, etc.) please understand that some people's skin reacts to it and turns green. While I seal all pieces with a protective sealant to help prevent this from happening, I do not guarantee your skin will not react. I will not issue refunds on any base metal products unless the item is defective (and your skin turning green is not the cause of a defective product). In addition, base metals may patina or change color over time. The sealant helps to retard this process, but I cannot guarantee it will not happen and refunds will not be issued for this reason either.

Refunds will be given for the price of the item - SHIPPING COSTS WILL NOT BE REFUNDED unless the item is defective upon receipt.
Payment
Payment is to be made at time of all purchases.

If you request a custom order, I will post a reserved listing, which needs to be paid before any work will be done.

If a cancellation is made after the item has shipped, the amount you paid will be refunded to your MINUS SHIPPING COSTS. Refunds of items that have been shipped to you will be refunded only after I receive the item back.
Shipping
All items will be shipped via USPS First Class Mail with tracking unless otherwise requested and all items will include insurance provided by Etsy's 3rd service provider or the USPS, depending on how the package is shipped..

I cannot and do not guarantee shipping once it leaves my location. I put tracking numbers on every purchased item (excluding fingerprint mold kits) and will do my best to locate your package in the event it doesn't arrive. I will not be responsible for lost packages or for packages held up in customs and refunds will not be given for lost pakages unless it is because of a shipping error on my behalf.

Any customs taxes/fees are the sole responsibility of the buyer.

Please note that while I try to keep all of my listed items in stock, occasionally I have a request for piece that needs to be made. You will be notified if this is the case and typically items can be made and shipped to you within 1-2 weeks, but occasionally it may take 2-4 weeks for delivery.

Interested in purchasing just components (i.e., pendants alone, bracelet components, ets) to use in your own jewelry design? YES, I will gladly sell components only! And, if your order is large enough, I can offer discounts. Convo me for additional information.

Wholesale: I do offer wholesale pricing and will be happy to provide you with the information.

Turnaround Time for Custom Orders

What is the best method for fingerprints?

I have found this method to be the best and easiest for capturing fingerprints: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w7UYHrPas3c&feature=share Once you have your fingerprint, I prefer a photo of the fingerprint vs. a scan, as the scans tend to "pixelate" the images. Most people use their smart phones, and this works very well, as long as the images are well focused and in good lighting.
