My love for hand-embroidery

As a young child, I found my passion in the beautiful textiles of India, Mexico, and the stunning tapestries of the 16th and 17th century England. I was self-taught, influenced by many styles and genres of embroidery. I like to call it, “a mix of bohemian, traditional, and old world... with a bit of whimsy thrown in.”

My joy has come from doodling on clothing, and then developing those doodles into full-color, hand-embroidered designs. You can view my gallery of my hand-embroidery work on my website: www.jhaembroiderydesigns.com

Now I would like to share my passion with you through teaching and my personally-designed hand-embroidery kits.

I'm also a member at Artistic Roots in Plymouth NH so come on in and see my display as well as an array of beautiful work from our local artisans!
