We all love a little piece of wearable art... something that speaks to us and says who we are.
I have been fascinated with making jewelry ever since my mom brought home a box of beads when I was a child. After graduating college with an art degree, I studied gemology, jewelry manufacturing, and design at the Gemological Institute of America where I went on to become an instructor until I changed paths to become a make up artist in the film industry. Jewelry making has remained my passion, however, and I have continued to take classes, explore different techniques, enter design contests, and craft my ideas into reality.
I am inspired by ancient civilizations, nature's beautiful gemstones, symbols, gem lore, legends, spirituality, mysticism... And I love that I feel like an alchemist when I transform a piece of metal or clay into a piece of jewelry. I am even happier when someone feels a connection to something I make.
I am proud that my work has been worn by actors in television shows, has been published in a jewelry-making book, and has won numerous design awards. And I am happy to share my passion with you here on etsy!
I studied gemology at The Gemological Institute of America and am obsessed with all things rocks and minerals and crystals. I love to incorporate gemstones into my jewelry making, and I love to find beautiful crystal pieces to bring to you!
