Announcement    Welcome!

A little about me: I'm a conservation photographer residing on the eastern shore of Maryland. At home my work focuses on the Chesapeake Bay, her tributaries and inhabitants, hoping to bring attention to the need for conservation. While traveling I do the same wherever I go. We live on an astounding planet that has seen much change, and not always for the better when it comes to the environment. I hope that my work captures a little of the beauty and wonder I see in the world and prompts others to appreciate and conserve our natural places.

When not traveling or out with my camera, I'm often in my studio turning trash into treasure...or at least some semblance of art. I'm all about recycling and repurposing. Damaged vintage books might have their covers turned into purses or their pages used for paintings. Bottles may be painted and/or cut to be used as vases.

Even when using 'new' supplies, I strive to remain eco-friendly and VEGAN. You won't find leather goods, fur or animal-rendered glue here.
