Frequently asked questions
Custom and personalized orders
Depending on the design choice will determine the duration for completion and when it can be ready to ship. I always want to ensure a piece has fully cured.
I will work closely with the customer throughout the process. Before I would paint the piece I will send pics of the color sample to ensure we are on the same page.
I use an app to give a preview of what the piece might look like to help aid the design choices. Customer will receive pics of the progress.
Once a Custom Order is purchased half the cost of the item is required (non refundable) prior to work commencing, with the balance plus shipping paid prior to shipping.
Please ask all your questions via message prior to purchasing any item.
Pick up and Delivery/Shipping Information Locally
1.) Local Pick up is available. Please contact me to coordinate a pick up.
2.) Local delivery is available within a 50 mile round trip radius. Cost is $1.50 a mile. Please contact me first if you want this option so I can calculate the cost and add it to the item before you checkout.
Returns and Exchange Explained
All sales are "as is" and FINAL. I describe each piece to the best of my ability. Please feel free to ask for more photos and for more information about the piece. Please note that these items are vintage, and are not in perfect condition because of their age. I do my best to repair/smooth the piece but if it will sacrifice other aspects of the piece I will leave it as I got it.
Please do not hesitate to message me with any questions you have about a piece up for sale.
Payment Information
I accept credit cards, debit cards and gift cards through Etsy. Payments must be received within 24 hours of sale date. After I have received the payment, I will be able to begin the process of creating and / or shipping your item.
If I selected local Pick how long do I have to pick it up?
Once a purchase is ready for pick up it must be picked up no later than 7 calendar days. I have very limited space. If the item is not picked up after 7 calendar days then J&R Renewed Elegance takes back ownership of the item with no refund of the purchase. Customers will receive 1 reminder message for pic up during the 7 calendar days.
If I selected local delivery when will it be delivered?
If you purchased an item that was already renewed (not a custom order) delivery will be scheduled within 7 calendar days.
FedEx or Greyhound Express Option for Small to Medium Items
I can arrange delivery of pieces that are on the smaller side such as nightstands and side tables via FedEx or Greyhound . At times this is the more cost effective option for these smaller items.
If this option is chosen there will be a $50 packing/handling fee to account for properly preparing the item for this method of delivery.
Please share you zip code for this option and I can give you initial estimated quote. Please message with any questions prior to purchasing an item. Shipping cost is not reflected in the listed price it will be add at time of checkout.
Customizable Listing Price
Unless otherwise noted the list price of a customizable piece is a base price. This means it is a starting point and once the final design choice is made then will the final cost be added to the listing for the designated customer.
Shipping on Large Pieces
Shipment of large pieces of furniture can vary from $250 to $750 depending on size and weight of piece. Also where the piece is being shipped to. I can coordinate the shipment via USHIP for you. Shipping cost is never reflected in the listing of the piece, you must message me your zip code to get the estimated cost. Please do not purchase without contacting me about the piece related to shipping cost.
