About

JSoDet Crochet

Crocheting started off as a hobby that was passed down from my mom and grandmother.
I've decided to turn this hobby into a business and opened my Etsy Shop.

My crochet has been evolving and I find myself to be obsessed with making baskets. I've been inspired recently by fabric yarn. I gave a skein of fabric yarn a try and now I'm hooked.
Looking into more fabric yarns, I found that these yarns are made from left over unused fabric from the garment industry that would just be thrown away, adding to land fills. At this point I decided I want to do more recycling in not just my personal life but also with my business.

I am inspired by all the color and patterns in these yarns. Due to the different fabric materials, textures and patterns, each item will be different.

The Bolster Stitch, a unique stitch I created, is used a lot in my work. It comes so naturally to me and has a beautiful look and texture. More on this stitch can be found on my blog at https://www.jsodetcrochet.com/single-post/2017/05/22/Introducing-The-Bolster-Stitch

Thank you for checking out JSoDet Crochet!

I am a SAHM and crochet addict! I've been crocheting since 2010 where I've started with hats, scarves, then amigurumis & worked my way over to bags/totes & Baskets. In late 2017 I discovered my crochet calling, working with recycled fabric yarn!
