About

A need to create.

Welcome to my little shop in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains. I'm sure glad you stopped by.

My wife often asks me if I ever just want to sit still. Well, no, not too often. I am driven by a need to create meaningful things. As a woodworker I make what we need around the house, tables, shelves, cabinets, etc. As a photographer I love to create photographs of interesting things.

One of my particular loves is trains. My family and I often travel to see and ride trains so many of the images here will speak to those who, like myself, love the iron horse. I don't stop there however. I see all sorts of interesting things in these mountains where I live to shoot photographs of. Flowers, sunsets, and even woodland creatures.

Many of the images here have been taken with old Canon FD film lenses on a digital camera. I really enjoy the beautiful rendering that these fine old lenses can produce.

In woodworking I use mostly antique hand tools and traditional, time tested methods. The woodworking items in my shop represent useful items that are carefully crafted to last a long time. No cheapie, pasteboard stuff here! Quality and attention to detail is job #1.

This shop represents my efforts to share my vision with you. To me it is about the process as much or more than the product. To create long lasting quality items that you will cherish for many years to come is my mission.

I hope you enjoy these photographs and wooden creations as much as I have enjoyed creating them.

God Bless,
Jason Stamper

Welcome to my shop, and thanks for stopping by! If you have any questions or would like to discuss a custom order please don't hesitate to contact me. I will be posting new images and wooden items as often as I can, so check back often.

Accepted payment methods

  • Accepts Etsy Gift Cards and Etsy Credits
Returns and exchanges
If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, or if your item arrives damaged please contact me within 2 weeks of receipt. I will work with you on refunds or exchanges.

If you return an item, be sure it is in its original condition, and postmarked within two weeks of purchase. Please contact me before returning any item.

*Please note: Due to the differences in computer monitors some colors may appear slightly different in person. Also, some sizes are different ratios and may result in a very slight crop of the image. I will make sure this does not detract from the image in any way.
Payment
Once your payment is made I will get your order in the works. Payment can be made through Paypal, credit card, or Etsy gift card. Orders can be cancelled before they ship to you for a full refund. After they ship I will issue a refund less the shipping charges.
Shipping
Your print will be printed by a professional photo lab, not a home printer. The lab is very quick and should have your print to me within a week at most. I do like to inspect every picture for quality before I ship to you. Once I receive the prints I will ship it to you within one business day unless I am working on a custom order for you.

If you need the photo quicker I can have the lab drop ship to you, however I will be unable to inspect the print first. While they are very good, I do like to make sure an item passes my personal standards before I pass it along to you.

If you place a custom order for a frame I will let you know what the timetable is. Generally I can still get it done within the 1 to 2 week time frame (pardon the pun).

Wooden items are usually ready to ship when I list them. They will be carefully packed, and shipped out within 1 business day.

Items shipped inside the United States will be shipped USPS Priority Mail and should arrive in 2 to 3 days. I will make sure you have a tracking number when it ships.

Internation buyers: I will send you a shipping quote for your approval. Please be aware that you will be responsible for any possible customs fees.
