I have quilted for most of my adult life. The only time I wasn't quilting steadily is when I was learning/teaching/doing stained glass and fused glass. We owned a large art glass store in Tempe, AZ for 10 years.

When we moved back to my home town to be with our aging parents, we sold our stained glass store and I found quilting again!

Safford is a small rural town and I decided to open a stained glass/quilt shop. After a few years, quilting completely won out and we moved the glass to the back and build more shelving for fabric bolts. The Jack of Arts was open for 7 years and being a quilt shop owner was amazing. It's not for the faint of heart but I've made more true friends in that 7 years that I would ever have dreamed. The lovely women that worked along side me, had my back and covered the front without ever having to ask were my angels. My quilting (and stained glass) friends also visited Safford from the Valley to support me and it was always such a joy to see them walk through the door.

Being a part of any creative community is indescribable. The love, support, encouragement and willingness to share the tricks of their art was truly surprising. That's why I decided to open an online fabric store. I missed those connections.

I love my little fabric shop. It's located in a room that never has pets (because they're really not very helpful; it's the lack of thumbs thing), in a home that will NEVER have any tobacco products allowed. Every order is handled with much love and care by me!
