What does a 150 mile bike trip up the coast of Maine, 5 years in college, two years running a studio, and an incredible workshop get you? The determination and skill to start your own business.

Jackie started Toast Ceramics part-time in 2012. After a few months selling at local art and craft events, she decided to act on her urge to do it all. Toast Ceramics has been her full time gig for nearly two years she can't imagine her life without it. From designing new objects to new websites, she enjoys the entire DIY business process.

Toast Ceramics focuses on designing objects that are durable and desirable for everyday use. Attention is paid to the all aspects of each piece - from it's weight in your hands to the way it looks in your dish drainer. Patterns and surface designs are inspired by natural landscapes, flora, and fauna and are reinterpreted with a nod to Scandinavian style.

Toast Ceramics is based in Madison, WI. In her cozy converted garage studio, Jackie spends her days creating peacefully with her husky, Kayak, always snoozing nearby. She is incredibly grateful to be doing what she loves full time and enjoys investing the time and hard work necessary to bring you heirloom quality objects you deserve.
